Can you confirm if GPS is working good with driving directions ? I'm asking this as it does not have a compass.. so how would it know what is north / south ? .. with that the alignment would suffer.. I mean maps could display upside down.. etc. Can you take one snap of google maps in navigation mode.
Also, please review one of the recent comments.. it says the battery lasts for 1.5 days with 15 mins of Whatsapp, 10 min video,
Can you tell your usage pattern ?

It... moreDude, You will not get bettery life like this mobile is having, I am using this phone from MAY 2013, not a single porblme face and ofcourse lot of fresh features rather than stupid regular interface of samsung glaxe, motorolla, karbone etc...
. worth purchase ever mobile according to me......

Hi, I visited a mobile shop yesterday to purchase lenovo p770. The person over the desk informed that, lenovo is stopping the production of p770. Is it true? However, this model is not available in visakhapatnam except in reliance digital. that too the last piece. can anybody advise pls?

Those who are having problem with flash..Do this
1) open camera app
2) click on 3 dots menu
3) open effects regulation
4) click on Expo
5) reduced it to the lower level or as per u desired if u want to reduce the effect of flash.

Hi Everyone,
I have been using P770 for more than a week now. Its a good phone as far as performance is concern. Over all a good phone.
Details:
1. Screen resolution is pretty cool.
2. Sound quality is good.
3. Speaker is good & earphone provided along is also good (not as bad as few users have been complaining about).
4. Applications (not all but most of them) can be easily moved to SD card.
5. Camera quality is good if we compare it with other 5 MP cameras (No issue of flash as is said by many users)
6. Phone looks very good and superior and is sturdy.
7. Very good build quality.
8. Disappointed a bit with Battery. ( I have been using Xolo Q700 for around 6 mths which has battery of 2400 MaH, it use to last me easily for one and half day (1 & 1/2 day). However with almost similar usage P770 also lasts me for the same one and half day. Considering the fact that P770 has 3500 MaH battery I personally expected it to last for atleast 2 to 2 and half day, as there has been almost no change in my usage pattern (which is around 45 mins of Whats app, 20-30 mins of Call, 15-20 mins of gaming & 10 mins of video. Constant active 2G data connection)
Please suggest any change which might help in getting more juice from battery

Guys, without magnetic compass, are you able to work with nagivation or maps.. i.e. it will never be able to show you which direction you are going in etc .. Are the maps going well ? Can you upload a screenshot.

I've raised some more queries.. Can you please answer them.
Also, Regarding price lets not forget that Micromax Canvas 2 HD is also at similar price tag with quad core and 8MP. I know Micromax service centers are a problem but depends... If Lenovo mobile have the problems (I've asked in other posts).. then M'Max would be better try.
Please answer the other posts I've added and check the GPS solution someone has given.

Is the problem with GPS loading slow & Magnetic Compass not being available & flash misfiring still there ?
Can someone try to switch on the flash light using some application & then click on camera to take a pic and see if that is possible.
Also, can someone take sample photo without flash of some handwriting page.

after one week of use. satisfied with it.
pro:
good battery life. depends on my usage. last 1 to 1 1/2 days.
user interface its good too.
Wi-Fi OK
dual sim working OK (Philippines)
Con:
GPS not getting a lock on my position.
camera was better than my old phone but its just OK.
wish it had 8 or 16G internal memory.
You pay what you get. with price tag of P10k+.its worth it :-)

Does it support video recording at 480p@30fps ? Can you please check. You can take the video and on a computer, right click & go to properties to find this. I need to knw how many pixels & at what frame rate.
Also, does it allow to move apps between internal memory and sd card ?

A review says flash doesn't fire at the right time and pictures are washed out. Can someone please advise if that happens ?
Also, someone said camera is equivalent to 2MP camera of Samsung.. can't believe this. Can someone please take a photo of handwritten material like some notebook or A4 size page from maximum possible distance from the book where writing is reachable and upload that image.
