have been using this phone for the last 2 months and the overall experience has been good.
Likes:
Games
-candy saga: no lag
-Downloaded FIFA 14, Dead Trigger 2: running fine
GPS:
- Lock works really good. Have been using sygic maps
- Camera: Decent. not been using much
- interface: smooth and good
Battery:
the main reason behind going for this phone was the battery. For the specifications which are being offered, the phone is pricy, however, the battery back up which we get is awesome, charge it once and forget about it for the rest of the day, use it the way you want. Makes up for the premiun that is being asked for.
SD Card:
supports 32 Gb. Have a class 10 uhs-1 card. no issues in reading/writing.
Call Quality: Decent. no issues
Dislikes:
- Total internal storage is only 2.14 GB. Many applications that were there by default have used 70% of this memory. Have installed a few other applications and this space is fast diminishing. For instance BBM was installed on the internal storage and there is no way that it can be moved to SD card, atleast i am not aware of it. A few more applications and would run out of space. the new p780 phones are having more memory so this should not be an issue there.
Also, this issue would be there in all phones which are having 4 GB of internal memory and most of the phones in this price range would be having that much of memory only.
- Switching between Wifi and Mobile data,at times causes problems. Need to restart the phone, mobile data does not work 1 out of 10 times when switched from wifi. Can be frustrating.

Just got P 780 a few days back. Here are my views:
Battery - Excellent. I was fed up with Samsung.
Camera - OK
User interface - Basic Andriod.
Response and speed - very good.
I would definitely recommend this phone if your criteria is as mine - dual sim, high battery life, good memory.

Lenovo A850 is more better than this, if you ignore battery.

Frnds does it supports wifi direct feature.
I tried but while file sharing no option for wifi direct....
Pl help to come out..

If Corning Gorilla Glass is a must then definitely you should not be going for this phone.
But, again, i have heard of it breaking too.
So, crux is you have to be careful.
The main selling point of this phone is the battery which is twice of most other good selling smart phones.
so do not understand then why other phones are not having this big battery, they donot last one full day with good normal usgae of net, games, songs. This is where lenovo scores over others.

For all those guys worried about screen protection, it is not Gorilla glass.
The screen is very delicate and cracks at minor falls (mine cracked by falling from 2ft). The service is a nightmare. First problem is getting the service center address. Then they say it can not be solved in less than two weeks. And also the screen is very costly. It costs you 7800 rs.

Dear fellows, this fon is with 4 gb internal memory and not 8 gb. it has camera with vga in front and 8mb at back side.
Only thing i am not sure about Screen protection. as per specs no protection or not mentioned and i come to know that it has Corning Gorilla Glass. need confirmation from those who have already bought it and using it.
