I have an old Sony Xperia Z3 Compact Tablet. It has been with me for a while now but it slowly showing its age in terms of software (stuck forever at 6.0.1) and performance. Battery life still seems solid but I feel not for long.
The UK has the 3GB version of this tablet which is not fair for us fans/customers.
I heard the front-firing speakers are "meh'" and "so-so". But in terms of the speakers of this tablet and mine which one you guys think is louder & clearer in real terms (disregarding Dolby Atmos or otherwise)?

the one sold in Saturn had the non LTE version with only quad core processor !
i wonder why the german market is like from the Ice age when it comes to Tech stuff -_-

I can confirm that the tablet that I received 10/15/2017 from Amazon shipped with Nougat 7.1.1 and does include an ambient light sensor to answer some previous questions. Using the tablet I am noticing a lot of lag which is unfortunate. I'm guessing it's mostly due to the 2 GB of ram although my 2013 Nexus 7 only has 2 GB of ram and doesn't seem to have the lag. Perhaps Lenovo did not do a good job with optimizing the OS on their device. I chose this tablet over similar tablets with the 652 SoC due mostly to it being much more power efficient by using the new 625 SoC. At this point I think I will return and try one of the 652 tablets that come with 3 GB of ram and deal with more frequent charging.

Is this tablet splash-resistant or has some nano coating to protect against the odd water spills? Are the speakers front-firing? And is there a Nougat 7.1.1 update currently available? Battery life any good?

Does this one have ambient light sensor? The standard (non-Plus) version does not. Very annoying!

Don't bother ordering this tablet in the US or Canada, they've downgraded the specs to 16GB/2GB and no plans to release the 64GB/4GB model. There glass back is no more; they switched it out to a soft touch backing(same as the standard models). If you still want it, you're better off importing it or buying something else entirely.
