McGuigs: You can set this option, as there is no screen on the outside you may wish to open it up and press a button if you want to know who is calling before you answer.

I received the new bettery from LG Aust (I called them on Monday and the battery arrived on tues) and it has fixed my problems, only problem now is the shit ringtones (and the pathetic cost of online tones)

I'm from Finland and I think about buying LG C1100 or SAMSUNG SGH-X450? Which one is better? Both are very cheap in here. (LG 199euro and X450 149euro) Samsung has better ringtones (40) than LG (only 16)and Samsung has nice flash light on the phone. Can anyone give me a GOOD advice??? And does anyone know where I can find rintones to LG in Finland, Samsung's I already know.

Well, if you want a stylish cheap color phone this will do it for you, some things I dislike about it;
-CRAP polyphonic ringtones, I like earpiercing loud NON TUNE ringones and all this phone has is crappy gay beats (great for the girls)
- Charge time is quite long (not a problem)
- No 'znooze' option when alarm goes off.
-when editing names in adress book, once name is edited/deleted whatever it taked you back to A on your list (pain if you have lots of names)
-Lack of games (really no problem, get a game-boy)
-No digicam (not bothered, I own a digicam why bother with shitty quality phonecams)
- I stress the shitty ringtones,what makes this even WORSE is the fact that NO websites have a BASIC ringtones, and if they do they won't work for this phone.
-No data cable/software available (as far as I know) which sucks as I would make my own ringtones and upload, oh yeah, there is NO ringtone conducter (like the sonyericssons and some nokias)
Overall this is a good phone, I have had some battery problems but I hope they will be resolved soon. This is a Virgin prepay phone RRP $169 +$50 recharge to unlock off network.
Virgin claim to have had endless complaints about this phone (software I believ) I personally have had hardware problems and even LG have had heaps of complaints about this phone. I will post results on my problems if they are resolved, and if so this is a good phone IF the software can be upgraded.
I'm not a heavy talker on phones but talked about 30-40 mins and checked the time alot and the battery life was 5 days (5x24hrs), oh, almost forgot the last crap thing which is not having a small screen on the outside for the time, nor a huge problem as you get this in more expensive phones or the cheap sonyericsson flipphone avail from virgin.

and a possible improvement to this phone would be more chanels on the polyphonic ring (32-64 chanels) and for the price i can buy this on pre paid i find it to be an exelent phone.

i recently purchased this phone and it is awesome, im having some network troubles but that has been resolved quite easily. one problem is i cant find any transfer cables for the C1100 cheap, i can find them for alot of other models but im curious if they are compatable with the C1100 and if you can transfer midi's and games etc over easily. thanks in advance if anyone can help

well done smart one. the LG C1100 is bloody great. the motorola E356 (which ive had) is ok but really there different phones. the LG is simple and classy. the motorolas just another teen camera phone....

its a cute looking phone, but it doesnt have a camera or radio which suxs, pointless for a colour phone.plus u cant really hear the message alerts and it doesnt stay on the screen that u have unread messages
