You'll have to go to your service provider's shop (eg Optus, Telstra, Vodafone, etc) and ask them to enable the Internet. Otherwise it won't work.

    hi this lg phone is so cool but whenever i try to go onto the internet it wont let me can someone please help me please i need to go on the internet to get ringtones.....

        I bought this phone about February or March. I quite like some of the features (like you can set it so that you just open the phone and it answers the call - means I have less chance of missing a call - very good!) and other things annoy me (like not having a tune composer - but that could just be me).
        One thing that I have found really irritating, is that not all of my text messages actually reach their destination. This has happened quite a few times to be more than just a stray text, and in my Outbox the "Delivery report" states "Sent", which most probably means I'm being charged for those texts.
        There is also another thing. Sometimes my mobile "freezes" (much like a computer) and even when I close it, I can see the keypad lights still shining. No matter how long I hold down the power button, it won't switch off and the only way I can "fix" it is to pull out the battery.
        I just read all the posts about earlier versions of this mobile, and this is the first time I have ever heard about this topic. I fear that perhaps I may have bought one of the earlier versions (does anyone know the exact, or even vague, dates of the earlier/stuffed-up versions?)
        So, some advice to people considering this phone: it depends on who you are, and what you like, but definitely check whether you are buying one of the earlier or latest models!

          i brought this phone, and i have the internet on it, but i dont know any web sites to go on to, to get the ringtones or wallpapers etc.

          please help i need to know what web sites there are. if any one can help please help and if you help me i will help you, with anything you need help with so help please.

            Its very good i got it as a chrismas gift haha my dad got it for and i like and i just got a data cable for to put ring tones wallpaper and etc.

                  I bought the LG c1100 phone, and it is locked to the virgin network.
                  It has been good so far, but I cant seem to download any ringtones or wallpapers.I have eabled the mms and Wap functions on the virgin site, but when i bought a wallpaper from the virgin site, it said the message had failed. I checked the compatibility, and it said that this phone could recieve wallpapers. It has also not recieved wallpapers sent from friends phones.

                  Am i doing something wrong, or is the phone just not able to recieve wallpapers

                    i am try to get inter net settings on this phone but it was unsuccessful.tried vodacom ,they are confused just as i am please help me.all i want to do is to down load a few games because their is only 1 game unlike other phones.

                      i was lookin for a flip fone on a vodafone plan and i couldn't find ne so wen i saw this one i was so happy, it cost $250 which didn't matter to me becos i wasn't paying for it but... bout 2 wks later in a magazine i saw a flip one with a camera for less than $200! i was so annoyed, but either way i got a newer better fone than my last nokia 3315.
                      it seemed to work right except for one mistake which i found out how to fix.

                          First time I laid eyes on this LG phone...truly I went like WOW! The design is terrific! Yes, although there's no camera feature or radio, it's still is a great handphone to have. At least, it's worth MY money.

                            Hey y'all
                            Honestly,the reason I bought the phone was that it was quite cheap for a GPRS colour screen phone.But for the past month that I've had it,I've been having a lot of fun with it.I go to a website(www.wowlg.com),where I can dowload poly ringtones,games & other fun stuff for free.I hope the phone I got is not one of the earlier problematic ones & does not give me problems with time.Besides the phone not having a camera & radio...it's all'good!!

                                I think the LG C1100 is the best phone i've ever had. It's small and not to heavy,great features,and well just plain brilliant. I hope my phone doesn't give problems. I just have two questions what is the internet kit for? How does Java work? Thankz alot

                                  As a mobile phone salesperson, I think i should be honest with all of you. When we first started selling this phone, we received most of them back with major software issues. For quite a while, we actually tried not to sell them, because we were sick of all the Returns paperwork. Now, though, they have been improved, and, thankfully, they dont suck anymore.

                                  YIPPEE! feel free to buy one now, knowing that it wont be buggy as hell. And for those who got one of the dodgy ones, i feel for you.

                                    i got this phone around 4 months ago and up until a couple of days ago, i was reasonably happy with it. apparently, earlier models have faults with the screens (which i got) and i had a blue section on my screen and was unable to use it. i paid $180 for this phone when it first came out and only got 4 months use of it. i probably would recommend you check if the phone is from the first batch and research more into the screen faults because they are unable to be fixed and my warranty doesn cover them. otherwise, i do like the design of the phone and the features are average. happy shopping!

                                      The incoming call turns into a missed call after ringing for 15 seconds only. Can anyone tell me in what way I can extend the duration of ring to 30 seconds or more?
