Guys,
I just bought my LG G2 D802. The specs on this website tell that's 4G enabled. However, I am not able to connect to 4G. But the same SIM instantly connects on 4g network on Motorola XT905. Is LG G2 D802 really 4g enabled for 1800 band? or am I doing any mistake here? Please comment!

You hear that all the time when people complain about Lollipop. But bad camera? That one is not very usual, suggesting that there is a fair chance something went seriously wrong during your update.

Rim, 25 Dec 2015You know, I can't really say I'm mad I can't enjoy 9 hours ... moreWell there is no internet connection shown on this screenshot. Keep in mind my phone is either on Wi-Fi or 2G internet at minimum 100% of the time. I can't go without it as then I'd have no whatsapp or Facebook. And yeah, I let them run in the background. Just saying that on my subjective normal usage I could never go 5 days without charging or reach 9 hours on screen time while I can on kitkat. Maybe I got unlucky with the lollipop build or something. I could live with that, but the fact my camera could no longer focus in the evening was unbearable.

Guys, yesterday I formated my LG G2 and it is now just the way it was when I bought it. It has never had another android version other than the first, the Android 4.4.2.

I want to know: What is the best android version for the LG G2 ?

Just a little reminder that such numbers are ultimately useless and misleading without proper context. You can drain the phone in a few hours just as easily as you can make it run for 100+ hours regardless of the Android version. It's not rocket science.

Guys, don't upgrade to Lollipop if you can still cherish 9 hours on screen time or 5 days of mild usage (atm over 3 hours on screen time after 130 hours without charging and still 25% battery left - was on WiFi mostly though)... I could get maybe half of that on Lollipop even after factory reset. I decided to downgrade because I was done with it, it took away the things I bought the phone for. Most annoying was the fact my camera would not focus 9/10 times when it got a little dark. Now I am back to stock KitKat and I'm simply loving having my phone back after a few months of torture. Just had to desperately google the right firmware as most kitkat builds out there seem to suffer from battery drain. Even among europian versions which is weird...

                        G2...
                        reasons : (from my exp)
                        Better battery life
                        Better camera
                        Remote control
Looks better (for me) also i think that G2 is little faster ... they are close... easy for root more custom roms ...
And better screen ... my ex nexus was bad on sunlight but ex g2 was great :D i now use g flex 2 .... same price about 220 euros and its best device for me ever... no overheat no laggs after last update g flex 2 is perfect.... my version of flex is h955

Anonymous, 22 Dec 2015nexus 5 or lg g2.... why,,,,??Hardwarewise they are pretty close. Nexus has smaller display, wireless charging coil (some G2s have that too), lacks back buttons, has smaller battery and its camera doesn't sport as many megapixels.

For me the main difference is software. Nexus is running stock straight from Google. So if you prefer Android in its cleanest form (and MM) you might like the Nexus more. G2 uses the LG UI with its own set of features and gimmicks but it is unsure whether there will be any updates past 5.0.2

Otherwise... some improvements, some downsides, very different design. Frankly, it's not such a huge step forward and unless you feel the need to stay current, there is fairly little making the Lollipop update a "must have."

Some even shun it for a series of problems with heating, lagging and battery drain but as nothing of the sort ever happened to my device, I think the problem is likely tied to the presence of some older 3rd party apps and services getting damaged and out of check during the update process, not necessarily the update itself.

There are some AOSP-based 6.0 ROMs, but I think that those are still in Beta.

So if you use one of these, you will lose the LG-specific gimmicks, some of the more delicate drivers (like the camera) and you may face more or less bugs and issues specific to your chosen ROM (check their sites for the changelogs and lists of known issues) as I'm not actually sure there is any stable release of 6.0 for G2.
