The latest one is that after restarting it, the phone has lost its imei number and it is not able to connect to any network. Apart from this there has been many glitches in this phone. Brace yourself if you are buying this phone because you are going to repent this investment.

I've been looking to purchase this phone for quite sometime now, but sadly local cellphone dealers or even major retailers does not anymore carry this phone. Can someone help me where to order this in Philippines? Thanks

Hi everybody. i have lg g2 (t...mobile) version. the system keeps telling me to update to android lollipop.i dont want to update it because i am afraid when i update it will give me operational problems. i am comfortable with the kitkat(4.4) that am using. please advice me through this mail: asantej46@yahoo.com , thank you.

Bro.... :) you are so nice person....After reading your DETAILED Comparison I concluded that if I go for LG G3 I have to sacrifice "PERFORMANCE,BATTERY,SCREEN BRIGHTNESS AND CONTRAST" and I will get LITTLE BIT BETTER CAMERA,NICE DESIGN,BIGGER SCREEN,REMOVABLE BATTERY AND SD CARD SLOT''.... and if I go for LG G2 I have to sacrifice its DESIGN,SD CARD SLOT NON REMOVABLE BATTERY'' and I will get "GOOD PERFORMANCE,DISPLAY,BATTERY,CAN SAVE 100 USD''.....So I am going to buy LG G2 in 150 USD and rest of saved money I will invest on some good digital camera which is always better than any smartphone's camera right now (correct me if I am wrong).....hope it will be my good companion at least for 2 years so when LG G4's Price will come down under 250 USD I may upgrade to G4.... :P.....I have one last question .... how can I realize that the phone I am going to purchase is the refurbished or new non refurbished.... is there any technique to find out such thing or I would trust on the shopkeeper and trust on my fate.....thanks... G2 screen is brighter and has way better contrast than G3 wich means better picture quality ....being 1080p for a 5.2 inches screen this is good ......over 400ppi ull never notice a pixel with a naked eye .....G3 strengh is only based on 2k screen wich is crisper but this is something you will notice only when putting G2 next to G3 believe me.
camera G2 after being updated to lollipop was able to keep a lot of features like nioght mode,sport,beauty shoot,shoot and clear, and anothers wich are no longer present on G3 .... G3 strengh is based on a newer sensor wich captures just by a bit better pics only by point and shoot... we have to keep in mind that this one has laser focus wich improves the autofocus speed... something really good.... wich is the only down side some times for G2 when it comes to shutter speed in low light ... but if know how to use iso,exposure,white balace...u should be able to take excellent pics out from G2 and u wont miss anything from G3 but just the speed focusing.
battery life G2 is a champion back in the screen realm G2 use 1080p and G3 2k wich taxes a lot the cpu and gpu and even with low brightness consumes more power.....i can tell u that a G2 50% brightness has a betetr screen to look at than G3 at same percent even legible in outdoors ....plus the bennefit of 5-6 hours of onscreen time using wi-fi for browser,wassp, and most of the time youtube video streaming at 720p to 1080p video quality..... in a period of 24-48 hours after a 100% charge i have the doubt that a G3 could achieve something like this with these settings and timing.....by the way if u dont use the device this way,... then u could get few days of battery .
processor on G3 is hardly diffreent from G2 .... sd800 and sd801 are similars ....just overclocked cpu and gpu but...diffrenece can be noted using same screen resolution 1080p for example and size in order to keep ppi count.... due to the 2k screen wich taxes cpu and gpu .... now the G3 on this department looks more like a predecesor than a sucessor in more demaning task... example gta san andreas game at higher graphics ... u can look for it at youtube... u ll notice G2 performing excellent and G3 lagging in front of it.
depending of ur likes ... 5.2 inches is an am azing size with perfect screen to body ration wich u can use with one hand G2 is the best on this department .... 5.5 is good but hardly a one hand usage .. im not a tiny hands boy so ... for average G2 fits perfect on hand.......
now i think that the visible adventage of G3 over G2 might be software updates .... if u consider this a must have then go for G3 plus a new software doesnt means a better performance ..... G2 is 5.0.2 and G3 is set to receive 6.0 ...... LG italy on a twiter account said that LG G2 might receive future updates ... so who knows 5.1.1 or 6.0 after all time is anly answer to this....
if u askme ill go straight for G2 ..this my daily driver... because has almost everything and ull have a hardtime finding a better phone wich such a good battery and performance under 250 us ......but if u like bigger screen and u want to tell ur friends that ur phone has 2k resolution then G3 is for u

The phone will then update itself every time. The settings emblem looks like a screw.
I had this phone I love this phone I'm sorry I updated to the other phone. I'm going to buy another one.

I can't afford G4...So help me to get good and future proof phone under the price range of 250USD your suggestions for any other alternative of these phone highky appreciated...thanks for help bro,,,, :)

toti, 15 Dec 2015please help... someone knows how to update Lg g2 d80020k v... moreyes u must be in latest firmware prior to update another version specially if ur device is not using an att sim wich is the carrier version for the d800 ...... u need to root ur phone flash that file wich is small in fact little improvement and then go for 5.0.2 make sure that the version u are going to download is for ur phone att version d800 good luck.

I read that i have to change from d80020k to D80020y and from this firmaware to change to 5.0.2 is that truth? thank you

Depends on the state the G2 is in. Most of the refurbs are questionable at best, but if the G2 actually happens to be in good condition, then I think that would be a pretty sweet deal.

I've lately bought an LG G2 VS980. The problem is I can't charge it above 35% as it shows the notification of 'not charging'. I've tried different chargers and cables but no avail.Can anybody tell me whether its a hardware issue or a software one?
