LG technicians fixed my G3 by changing the software.
They said it can not be done manually(hard/soft reset) by the customer/user, they have an LG machine specially for this purpose.
Am confused now that LG technicians gave me my G3 with version 10l in it but when checking for new software updates, it shows there's the 10o newest version.

Can someone recommend if it's better to update G3 software to 10o or keep it as LG technicians gave me it 10l ?

Limited, 31 Dec 2014The point here my friend, is we don't want to root our phon... more First of all, to use Greenify and manually disable unessecary apps run on the backroound doesn't have to be rooted..
I agree to the part that all company's need to work their way with the batteries..Now i think most will start invest on that, and is the only thing that missing..
And no is not expensive phone the G3, actually is very chip at the moment..we get that 300 euro without contract..so compared to others is chip..
Ofcourse u dont need root but with root would be excellent, this and all other phones because we use android..if u dont like that then porpably u should consider IOS. But if u like it is better than IOS, simple as that.

We buy expensive phones like the G3 as they have claimed to be a "flagship" phone. So why root? these OEMs are just making money out of our pockets.

The solution? why not make bigger batteries for bigger phones? A simple problem that should have been solved way back.

Will it lag o 2gb ram? I mean if i play some game and with normal usage will 2gb ram work? Or the 2gb ram will always remain full? Should i opt xperia z2 instead of g3 2gb version?

Fayzan, 30 Dec 2014Is 2Gb ram enough for g3....or should i opt 3gp version?Doe... moreI'd advise to go the 3gb ram route simply to "future proof" your device. I have the 3GB version and on a day to day basis, I have easily 1 gb ram Free/Unused. Now you must understand that the way Android works, having Free RAM does not necessarily mean better performance and vice versa. So if you budget allows you to splurge on 3gb version, then go right ahead. Else you should be just fine on the 2gb as well.

AnonD-20890, 30 Dec 2014Is it compulsory to do hard reset after upgrading to 5.0?.I wouldn't tag it Mandatory, although Highly Recommended will better suit the requirement here. I've updated with & without factory resets and have favourable outputs both the times. But with "MY" G3 in question, there were minor lag and heat issues that cropped up right after upgrading to LP. Post a Factory Reset however, all is well!! Hope this helps..
