I have used galaxy s3 and note 2 and htc one max ..After using this phone for 2 weeks the 16 gb version here is my fair opinion: 1)phone is very elegant and stylish in hands
2)battery is not good but not bad also
3)its screen is superb and very high QHD resolution
4)i didnt exprience any shutdown at all
5)the device has a very little lag
6)it charges very fast from 0 to 100 in 1 hour and 40 minutes
7)sound is very good and clear
        8)camera is the best ever
I dont regret buying this phone at all go for it

After using it now for a week : battery is fine (I can say : I drain every phone empty before 3pm) I can confess : it lasts until 19-20) but during the day it's on the qi charger which charges slow so I think that helps. It not rooted but I have strange behavior of app but also the phone itself. Multiple times I need to hold down the power button to wake the LG back to life. I have experienced the sudden shutdowns at all, but the freezes are anoiing. I am using the European version with 3 GB and 32 GB internal and an additional 64GB ultra ad.
The software is superior to the HTC m8 and is more consistent. The LG file manager let's you copy everything to ad card, HTC m8 gives always a paste warning at pastes nothing!!!!!
The adjustable keyboard for Mr one hand operation is fantastic. Lag let's you customize much more than the HTC m8 and is smart. Split screen is very easy and nice. Sound is good and calls are very clear. Camera is fantastic (something the developers of HTC after the my didn't improve!!!! Sometimes I think they should read more reviews/complaints from customers then the personal information imbedded in the software!!!!! Spyware
LG please improve the stability of the software or I Will take my iPhone 5S 64 out of the closet and wait for the 6 to come out. Btw ios is king in software and because it's the way it is they can't give you the android freedom.but you don't need it because ios is slow in New features but so consistent and stable

Weird...tried that phone in a shop, cannot set the brightness more than 80 %, with message saying that temperature of the phone is too high. But the phone was idle doing nothing !
When i take a selfie, the picture becomes very dark after 1 second...weird too.
Nice phone but obviously it needs some more work....launched too early maybe ?

I have RAM problem with my lg and nobody in lg service didn't answer to me. Perhaps this problem is due to heating problem. But the most important thing is that in lg service you can not see any responsibility. I think the best way is to buy another brand.

Even during Antutu benchmark test it only reach up to 69ºC..
Well I'm gonna wait for their update then.
I love this phone. It's just uncomfortable when the CPU temperature reaches 70ºC and use it for prolonged time and the Battery will reach around 40ºC.

darcmatter, 11 Aug 2014well I hope so.. That 70ºC is not an issue for CPU. ... moreI turned on high temp. prop and used the phone more than 36 hours. However I havent seen any differences about the heating problem.
Finally last night I saw 82'C Cpu temp. :)
The LG service staff told me that this heating in CPU wont give any harm to the other components close to the CPU.
And let me share my final decision: "there is nothing to do for heating problem. an update may be the last solution for us"

If you have rooted your phone,it's impossible you can't get rid of any installed/default apps, and if you had truly rooted your phone, even you were to do a factory soft/hard reset, you phone is still being rooted,it can't simply unrooted by itself with the factory reset, you need to have a proper tool to unroot your phone to the factory default, just like you were to root your phone.

I have rooted my LG G2 before just to get rid of that irritating soft buttons,it's marvellous to rooting your phone, you are a master to control the apps, but there are risks too,if you not sure what you are doing, you can simply ruin your device, and it's true that when i finally decided to unroot back my G2 to default,it really created some glitches on my G2.

Now i will never root my G3,thanks LG has given the option to hide the irritating soft buttons.

My G3 is working sweet and sound,i m happy with it,and there are no reasons for me to root my G3,No way.
