I bought a g3 a week ago and i gotta say i'm disappointed. Its qhd screen doesn't really wow and its interface is a little laggy unlike the htc one m8 which i also own. its not a deal breaker but it pales in comparison to htc's fluid ui. I already tried factory resetting and even rooting. It still lags. Sometimes the screen and the power button would not respond.

nmx, 12 Jul 2014Some people report a sudden shutdown in LG 3 specially afte... moreYes,it happened once on my D855 model,i tried to power up again,but the power button didn't response.
I have to open out the back cover and removed the battery,placed it back again,only then i m able to power up the phone again.
It only occured once till now,so far never happen again.

I just copied a dozen of 1080p videos from my pc to G3. My PC monitor is also from LG (29EA93-P) and has a resolution of 2560 x 1080. Being an IPS monitor, HD contents always looks awesome on the screen. It has always been my desire for the past 6 weeks to check out how things appear on the QHD display of G3. It came with no surprise to me that things look so great, amazing and awesome. I certainly started to notice the detail that i had never seen on pc screen. The accessories that LG packs is also top quality as always.
That being said I'd hate myself to claim as a fanboy because I am not. In Bangladesh, price for samsung devices have fallen, exchange offers are ON and I could easily grab a Note 3 with exchanging my galaxy s2 and @ half the price of G3.
Everyone knows whats going on in smartphone world. HTC wins as far as music is concerned, SONY wins for being resistant to water & dust, Nokia wins for Camera, Samsung wins for Specs but I just preferred LG only for their screen this time. I didn't bother how quickly the battery would drain to keep the QHD screen alive.

KiM, 11 Jul 2014Planning to get G3 soon...Any bugs or problem so far ?Yes there's a lot of people who bought lg g3 report a random shutdown issue in several forums even in Germany forums,not just that, they also said that most of image or videos become corrupted after random sudden shutdown.

I just had my G3 last evening. I have been using galaxy S2 since 2011 and also had a chance to use Note3 & GS4 for a very short time. The main difference that is absolutely noticeable out of the box is not how the icons appear on a QHD display but how responsive every functions are. Thanks to KitKat 4.4.2 which is so much mature than jellybean 4.1 or later but everyone will learn that it is LG hardware that make things so fluid and so called "lag-free" that I had been used to until last evening. I copied most of my 720 x 480 res videos into this that I used in GS2. Streaming is very fluid but colors are little washed out. I'll check out 1080p videos very soon and'll post my opinion. Until then good luck everyone with G3.

pretty impressed with these monster phone!
