Turns out the audio amplifier is same as HTC M8, a Cirrus Logic CS35L32. Speaker of the G3 is way inferior though so the usefulness of this amp is questionable.

I'm not taking anything away from LG but LG is the same as Motorola,Oppo, & this Chinese phones. You guys will regret it. Only HTC has a better of the best. Don't buy a phone for its popularity because you'll be stuck on it. HTC And IPhone are commendable phones, especially HTC. HTC for life no matter what

samsung now - they do a lot of reasearch and development. I wanted g2 but i've got myself an sony z1 which is not as i expected.
Htc have one of the best ui in terms of practicability and usability, but fails on camera and reception, but that is due to metallic body.
G3 seems to be very good, and ui is much better now. Scratch resistent body is a plus. I like new lg phones and their strategy.

LG G2 User, 29 May 2014I think ther are many differances between HTC and LG in ter... moreThanks for the info pal, could you please tell me why do you like the HTC sense over the LG UI? Have you ever faced any trouble with G UI? I know HTC Sense is an excellent UI. Can you satisfy with the G UI.
Anyway, I don't care about phone cameras much, that's why I choose HTC M8 even though it has a poor camera. I have a Lumix G camera for primary photography.

lol I still own an optimus 2x, I also own a S3 and was waiting for something new from LG that had a mirco sd card slot. Frankly when I buy this G3 (Hopefully) I'm changing the S3 and still holding on to my 2x
