My battery life is awful and I'm on the 3rd battery in 18 months. The first one, by LGs own admission, died after about 10 months. To be fair the sent me a new one for free but I fully got the impression they are aware of this issue.

I'm not sure if I have a faulty unit or I'm doing something wrong but my phone can get VERY hot just by being in my pocket and my battery, 3rd one in 18 months, lasts about 6 hours with medium usage.

I have the LG G2 & G3 as of now and I can't seem to replace these beast from 2013&2014 haha. The marshmallow update on the LG G3 is absolutely great! LG has already fixed the issue on the lollipop version and now it has longer battery life, better UI and overall performance itself. Maybe the people who complains alot on LG G3 has a faulty/defective device. I can't see any problems on my phone as of the moment as it runs well and smooth 👍 Remember, no phone is perfect and it all boils down on everyone's preferences.

all smart phones are good but when you do these 3 things
1; root on the phone
2; install games with an unknown source
3; upgrade the software with newer android that is not the original firmware
and then phone is infected with Trojan, and sucks, because you have ruined it

Lg g3 was been very good smartphone.but lg were been slow in software.. They won't releas. update in india this poor by well known manufacturers

It seems like everyone complaining here have faulty units of the LG G3, or is it that you think its a gaming console? Been using this D855 model for 18 months now. Its not a perfect phone but all these complaints are fake. Every phone heats up especially when gaming. Battery life is great. If you looking for All day battery, 5hrs of gaming & Intel i7 performance keep dreaming no phone can do that, (This is what it feels like reading your dum comments) It seems like you expect too much from a phone.
After marshmellow everything is even better. Doze mode gives me nearly 5 hours screen on time. The games saver keeps this phone cool.
If you complaining then why bother buying a 2014 smartphone? Buy something that came out this year. Post useful info on this page and dont complain!!

Please do not get it ._. It actually sucks after a year of using it there's a problem with the motherboard, heating issues as well as battery problems. Once the phone reaches 40% it automatically switches off. In the beggining it used to boot by itself. Reading online reviews I thought it could be repaired by replacing the battery with a new one but guess what no hope. The LG G3 sets have a lot of complaints. The shop I hagavr to repair has dozens of LG G3's with varying defects and problems. Save yourself some money and don't get it. An honest opinion giver -Joel Sam Thomas.

Updated my international version to 6.0 through LG Mobile Tool. Very smooth and nice looking interface. Improved screen brightness and I like what they did with automatic settings. Colors are better too.
I don't know if it is enough time to test it, but till now I think Android 6.0 has better battery management than 5.0.
I did factory reset right after the update.
