Using it in the 4th year now. Updated to Android 7 but went back to 6 as it works perfect. Had tonreplace the battery twice, but I'm rather a heavy user so that was expected. Love this phone and its fantastic camera and display.

Ather Shehzad, 27 Dec 2019Bro how can we check that motherboard of LG G4 is of serial... moreMost people got those newer boards directly from LG and some of them from Aliexpress and eBay, if you are lucky to get answers from the sellers then they can tell you what motherboard revision number it's on sale.

Anonymous, 18 Oct 2019Yep, my G4 died after 5 months of use. As i got it used i h... moreI did some preventive measures with it - put a thermal pad on CPU to make it contact with aluminium housing to dissipate the heat. So my one still works flawlessly for 4 last years. It's a shame that LG didn't do it in first place. CPU failure or quite often just a drysolder is the only problem with this phone.

Yep, my G4 died after 5 months of use. As i got it used i have no way to claim any warranty or something, so i've had this expensive brick sitting in a drawer for almost 2 years now. Piece of garbage smartphone. If someone reading this is considering getting it, drop the idea as it is a lottery wether you buy a good G4 or one with an expiration date.
Get an Xperia Z3 instead

XLR8, 18 Jun 2019I bought this phone about 3 months ago (H-815 Model).. O... moreTry limiting the amount of apps running in the background. Also, try rooting, getting a different custom rom, and try to limit CPU speed (there is also a thermal pad mod you can do to help cool down the phone and prevent the infinite bootloop error). If you are using the phone for gaming though, I highly recommend doing the thermal pad mod, as it can boost performance by preventing throttling and cooling the phone down. Also, for better battery performance, I recommend using a aftermarket battery with a higher capacity. It may be a bit risky for you, but I can confirm that it is safe and can extend battery life by a few hours (find on ebay, but go for the 5,000 mAh ones, watch out for the 10000 mAh as those are complete scams).
