Regarding the screen burn issue, I too had it and software did the trick for most of the part (so I said 'metigate' & not 'solve'). You should hide navigation buttons for all apps and use the screen filter app. It helps. As my phone was in warranty, I opted for screen replacement later.

Steven, 17 Nov 2017Any one know how to fix LG G5 screen burn in/ shadow issues? Download screen filter app from haxor industry & set the filter to 88%. You can then metigate the screen burn in issue. Also there are apps which remove the burn in by making an array of colors run for sometime. If you want a permanent solution, then ask for screen replacement. But Screen Filter set to 88% should work fine.

Hello LG G5 users,
Few hours back I got an update (Oct patch) of 65 MB in Germany after which all sounds stopped working. Tones, loudspeaker, etc all shut. Anyone having a similar problem? if yes kindly let me know.

ive had a problem with the gps in this phone since i bought it. its been a year of trying to fix it, and my 1 year manufacture warranty is almost up. the problem still isnt fixed.
avoid this phone unless you hate yourself!

AnonD-715588, 14 Nov 2017I want to buy LG G5. tell me about its speed n sensor. it w... moreI got mine July of 2016 and its still going however I had to do 2 hardware repairs, one for the charge port (stopped working and couldn't boot phone), one for the power button (stopped registering), and one mod for the GPS. All LG G series phones I have seen have an issue with GPS. I repair phones for a job so stuff like that is nothing to fix. However this phone apart from those issues is extremely fast still and love it. Its why I fixed the issues, I have 3 phones but my G5 is still my go to phone and one of them is the new Samsung A5

AnonD-517553, 08 Nov 2017G5 is better on all terms excpt gps it is weakThere is a way to fix that I have done it, I still use my G5 and have had it for over a year now. I had to fix it recently because it broke down but when it was down I didn't realise how good or fast it was until I had to use my iPhone 6 lol however it does have issues still that have been there since day one, like GPS (fixed), Screen Burn-in issues, over heating, and power button wouldn't register (fixed). I'm a cell phone tech so its easy to fix issues like these. The GPS is a simple fix, it involves you taking your phone apart though, there is a video on YouTube on how to do it. Its just 3 pins on the motherboard that need to be lifted to connect with the flex connectors that are attached to the frame. Look up a video to do it, use that video at your own risk though and it does void warranty.

after more than 7 month of use this device began lose its power button, not recommend if u swap the battery very often because of that i need to press power button really hard to turn it on

I bought my lg g5 before 8 months ago. I realy really love my lg g5. Camera is world's best.wide angle is so helpfull to me for taking wide photos. People are overestimating to samsung and iphone. Bt this phone got removable battery,IR blaster, WA Camera, Good screen resolution,good price. People are stupid who rejected this phone.

right now this phone is at $200 (USD). I consider it is a very good deal... what do you guys think? Is even cheaper than Xiaomi mi a1 or others with similar specs but better camera. Except it is from last year and I guess its last updated was android 6.0 am I right?
