Ian, 12 Aug 2017I think LG will no longer support lg g5 with security updat... moreG5 owners will get Android O as each phone usually gets two major updates. It started from MM. Seeing that O isn't such vast improvement from N, the transition should be less problematic compared from K to L.
I am already pleased with Nougat and really enjoy the split-view and overall smoothness, so I really wouldn't care if G5 never gets O except to rid of the yellow emoji blobs. I suspect Android P will be a bigger update than going from N to O. That's what my Pixel is for.

i purchased this phone a little over 3 months ago, since that time i dropped it once, on the ground and the screen cracked, to me this was not what was promised regarding the glass, before the glass broke i would always get messages that said i had too many contacts delete some, and if i did not delete my contacts which i did not want to , it would take them away itself, i hate this because i can not take time to remember numbers they change all the time. Verizon says the phone cost 600.00 dollars and i have only paid in around 280.00 so far. to me at the price they asked for this phone it is certainly no worth it. the broken class should have been able to repair itself for that price. Now they want me to send it back to the company while i either do without a phone or get another Verizon phone until it is repaired due to the fact that i did not buy the insurance plan. I think i have been scammed by Verizon themselves in order to keep making money off of me. please send me your feed back, this should be a class action suit against either Verizon or the company that makes it. sincerely, Dissatified.

Hi guys,
I have a problem from last 7 days.i don't know what happened with my G5.It was good last 8 months.it's battery running about to 6 to 7 hours at a time when i bought.bt now it couldn't last atleast 3 hours.suggest me to solve this problem anyone.

Dont get all this hype around crappy, gloomy display on g5. Its decent looking even on a sunny day when u use it outside. Performance is super smooth on Nougat, i have no issues besides weak SOT.

Seems like a good experience with G5 on Nougat so far. I was reluctant and was thinking to keep it on Marshmallow for good but it kept showing the software update in my notifications, so I went for it because I like the split screen and improved Doze for better standby.

I have a 9 month old G5 which works perfectly they ain't all bad.

Unfortunately, I changed my mind about this device I will never come to this company again because of the boot-loop issue. Even thou, I ordered one but I will cancel it for sure. Sad LG

I have an extra battery for my lg g5. the battery got damaged. Will not fit in my g5 anymore. Its like busted or how do you call it. never dropped the battery just left it in my battery cradle. All of a sudden battery like exploded or something. how did that happened? any idea ?

If your phone is still covered with the one year warranty then you don't need to pay for anything . It will take 1-2 months till you get the phone back. Sad
