AnonD-447117, 03 Dec 2016When will India get the update???after LG V20 launches on 5 dec 2016 and after V20 becomes available in the indian market then Lg G5 will receive update. As V20 is the 1st device in Global Market to have Nogout 7.0 base android software. so LG will try to first launch V20 and then provide the 7.0 Nogout Update for LG G5 for india. So wait, till V20 becomes available. may be 25 December is the date on which LG will Push Update for LG G5 or may be in Janruary.

                This smartphone is awesome!

The software is great without any problems.
The camera is beautiful - especially the manual mode ;)
                Performance is invincible.

I believe it's the Value for money for 2016, because it costs over 100€ less than Sasmung S7 and yet is equally powered...

I have the H850 edition in gunmetal color.

PS. Many say that it is ugly bla bla... Nonsense...

(Also posted on the Lg G5 SE page comments.)
Warning: I'm a consumer rights activist, and the 'SE' model of this phone has been slipped into the stores here in the UK with very little if any publicity. (I'm in the biz, so know.) My carrier (EE) and Carphone Warehouse try to sell you the G5 SE when you ask for a pure G5, yet the cash price in store is only £20 less and the contracts similar.

The lower power processor is a MAJOR issue. We all know that for smooth operation, gaming and decent smooth video, a good CPU is paramount.

When I give advice to friend and family, I say, you want a phone that is: Fast, has a daylight readable display and all day battery. I cannot speak for the 2nd two items, but the SE will not be as fast as the 5G. A compromise has been made to help LG move stock of the original G5, but save them money, so they have switched CPUs.

There is a difference between a genuine budget model of a phone and one that is only slightly tweaked so consumers don't realise. The SE lettering on the box is very small.

I think this very dishonest of LG and the carriers and today, I told EE and Carphone Warehouse to their faces and via their call centres that they need to stop doing this.

I'm going to order a pure G5 now as it's a great phone (had one before), the only downside being battery life and in my case before, screen was dull outside, but I think it was a one off.

Hope this advice is helpful! I will post this on the G5 page too.

Iam quite critical of the LG G5 got it from Virgin in April 2016 and developed a fault with a faulty sim card reader within 6 weeks.Find my old HTC One M8 far superior and the LG G5 somewhat has the boredom factor about it.I am looking to change to Samsung Galaxy S7.The LGs are not for me and would not have another.

Lot's of companies aware of this truth and produce non removable phones to achieve water resistance and solid build quality. But I admire LG stick with producing phones integrated removable batteries.

AnonD-342429, 01 Dec 2016How's the battery life? Battery life is very good IMO. After about 5 hours of browsing, texting and watching videos, I'm down to around 50%. And when the battery starts getting old after a few years, just swap in a spare for a fresh, long-lasting battery ;)
