Finally i was able to upgrade to android oreo after over a year of using this phone. Better late than never i guess.

How is LG's record of providing android os/security updates to its smartphone recently?
Isn't G6 got Oreo very late...specially when Pie is frw months away from google?

i updated my lg g6(h870ds) in AI features but i can't find any AI on camera setting,but my lg g6 already lg g6 thinq on booting, someone help?

Select Asian markets (China/Korean, etc) have a Quad DAC but no wireless charging. Every other market does NOT have wireless charging or a Quad DAC.

Before Oreo i used to get almost( ~)4 to 4.5 hours of screen on time for average to heavy usage.But now....
After Oreo i am roughly getting 2 to 2.5 hours for the same usage pattern.
My doubt is, is it supposed to be like that? Or am i the only person lucky to have this wonderful Oreo update?
(I live in india , hence i am using LG H870DS).

I purchsed LG G6 one year age. but i had faced a problem with its SIM card Tray. which was stucked inside. and when i tried to remove it. it cam out by broken. Tray made of plastic. not a metal. now i am facing a problem of SIM tray, which is Un available in any outlets. and if available on line shopping. quality is worst..

Hiya. I plan to get the LGG6 but very concerned about updates. What Android version is the phone right now? And would you say LG is committed to monthly security updates and the new @Android 9 Pie? (My other choices of phones are the Galaxy A8 and the Moto G6 Plus).

Hi, I'm using G6-H870DS for last 4 months. Last week I got Oreo update and from then my battery is draining very fast. If even no apps are on and no WiFi / Mobile Network is connected, it drains 30-35% Charge within 4-5 hours in idle mode.
What should I do?
