Dilmeet, 18 Aug 2018This is turning out to be a fantastic purchase so far. Used... moreComing from LG G flex 2 (bootloop in 8 months used) to S7 ( 2 years and still counting no issue so far, ), upgraded to V30 (experience IR in 6 months used) bought S9 plus got 6 hours SOT. I will never go back to LG.

I have two Lg G7 phones and my biggest concern is the difference in display on the two devices. One phone has a pinkish screen and the other has warm yellowish screen. The difference is huge and you can easily tell that. The color settings on both the phones are set to auto. Its either because of two different kind of displays being used in the phone or its a factory display calibration problem. Has anyone else noticed this? Didn't expect this on a flagship device.

This is turning out to be a fantastic purchase so far. Used S7 and upgraded to S9. Was the biggest mistake as the Exynos variant is pretty bad. Sold it after 2 months as was not practical to format every month to fix the battery drain and over heating. S8 is far better in this regard. Next was Pixel 2. Solid device but Stock Android is too vanilla. Upgrade to Pie was nice and smooth but the GPS bug while using Maps remains and was reliant on 3rd party apps for features. Now, G7. It is the best allrounder. Still on June security patch but I need my phone to just work with DUAL SIM functionality. RAM and ROM are perfect. Updates can wait if the device can work this awesome.

Bought G7 .... amazingly bright screen easily visible in bright sunlight. The LCD has 4 pixels Red Green Blue and White. This screen uses very little power when compared with my previous phones when brightest screen is used. I ride a bike a lot outdoors and the G7 is simply terrific. Highly recommend this phone. We bought from T-mobile on a two for price of one deal.

My g5 died in the swimming pool so I've bought the g7 TinQ.

I prefer my old G5 for the reasons below:

          - Irda
          - Wider camera
          - Removable battery
          - Size. G7 is too long and falls from my pocket.
          - And a very important one to me: HDMI output

          G7 over the G5:

          - Better screen
          - Water proof
          - Sighltly better performance.

There is not a big difference in performance.
Camera in the g7 is better, but on the g5 you can install Google Cam Mod, and in can't find any mod working on the g7.

In my opinion is not worth update from the G5 to the G7

Problems occur after 12 - 18 months after the purchase (immediately after the warranty period) ... The most convenient is a review after 18 months and not after 1 month.

jrlatorre2, 10 Aug 2018would have been perfect (FOR ME) if it had a bigger battery... moreThe real life battery usage of my G6 is very impressive, usually by 6 pm I am still left with 40%, unless I play heavy games. I compared with my friends s8 while traveling together using GPS, the g6 won by a wide margin.
I am certain LG has really optimized the LGG7 battery life really well but do not understand why the fact is not well reflected with bloggers and websites tests.

I am using a Lg G7 for a week, a great by, battery good, marvelous screen, fast at any app, slimmer than S9+, very happy.
I was using a Motto Z, my wife has Ann S8 and my sister a S9+.
I would recommend LG G7 is cheaper than S9+ at your country, camera click is slower than S9+, all else is equal or better, I don't like curved screen.

Pls do not expect Oreo update any time in India. Difiency of LG kind of OEM's is driving sales of One plus phones in India. Buoyed by this One plus has announced their OP3/3T will get android P, wihch is a third major OS upgrade after Nougat and Oreo. LG exactly this opposite way, i.e., if they delay OS updates to old devices, their G7 will be sold. I am saying this practically as I am using LG G6 and One plus 5, both phones released around same time in India. LG G6 has not even received 7.1 update whereas OP 5 is on 8.1 and received so many updates. But once trust of customer is lost, it is difficult to build. Imagine V20 the first phone launched with Nougat in Sep 2016 is yet to get Oreo update in Aug 2018. No OS update in 2 years, horrible. If people like us can stop buying LG devices, may be then they realize their mistakes. God save LG mobiles in India.
