The screen is not 2K. 2K is for projectors. The screen is QHD. I also hope the battery capacity is enough.

If you've been following our news feed, then you surely know that LG just announced its latest flagship smartphone. And you're likely familiar with the G7 ThinQ already: you know that it has a super bright display, you know that it retains the dual-camera setup, and you know that it has AI abilities to brag with. But what you probably don't know is that the LG G7 ThinQ can record HDR10 videos.
What is HDR10, you ask? That's short for 10-bit High Dynamics Range – a video format that can reproduce a broader range of colors, with a greater difference between the brightest whites and the darkest blacks that can be shown. It is designed with more realistic video reproduction in mind. HDR10 video is also available via services like Netflix and can be enjoyed on an HDR10-capable device, such as a compatible TV or smartphone.
But let's go back to the LG G7 ThinQ: how do you take HDR10 videos with it? Well, the option is not immediately obvious, but can be found in the settings menu when manual video mode is enabled. The HDR10 video toggle is disabled by default, most likely because the recording may cause compatibility issues – when accessed by certain apps that don't support it, for example, or when played back on an incompatible device. Video can be shot at up to 4K resolution, as long as you don't mind the fact that it occupies almost 400MB per minute of footage.
For the record, the LG G7 ThinQ is not the first phone capable of recording HDR10 video. Earlier this year, the Sony Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact launched with the very same feature on board.

You can also use the wide-angle camera in Super Bright mode, and the AI Camera mode too.
Getting back to video, the G7 tops out at 30fps in 4K, but you can record video in HDR. There's also a nifty 'Cine Video' mode which applies some Hollywood-style filters to make your footage look more cinematic. Whichever mode you choose, stabilisation is available not just at 1080p but also 4K.
Portrait mode is another key feature, as people expect their new phone to be able to blur out the background for a nice DLSR-style effect. The G7 keeps the same field of view as when shooting with the main camera, unlike most phones which use the zoom in and have a much narrower view.
Slo-mo is unimpressive for a 2018 flagship as the G7 can record 240fps at 720p. We'd have expected this to be 1080p, and the option to record in short bursts at 960fps.
Before we talk about quality, remember that we took photos using pre-production software. Although the cameras - which use Sony IMX351 sensors - are final, software is largely responsible for the ultimate quality and LG made it clear that there was still a fair amount of work to do.
For example, although the Super Bright mode produced some impressive looking shots, others were disappointing, so we'll have to wait until we get the final software before we know whether it's truly any good.
They're fairly low resolution of course - 4Mp - and when you zoom in certain areas look like an oil painting with very little detail. The brightness is remarkable, though, as both photos below were taken when there was very, very little light. The indoor scene makes it seem as if it were taken in broad daylight!

I have a g6 and recently I bought a HTC u11 plus which is a excellent phone but I do like the g7 and I don't mind the notch at all but I really hope that in the UK we don't get the crap version with only 4 gig of ram and 64gig of storage.
LG we should get the 6gig ram and 128gig storage version, stop giving the UK the crap version hey.
You won't get anywhere in the UK selling us the low end model you need to sell the best one here to.

3000mAh is actually pretty impressive to Li-Po battery which can last much more charging cycles.
This was always problem for me I already destroyed three 3000mAh Li-po batteries with my lg g4.
