Having a 6.1" screen and 71mm wide simultaniously is impossible. Even Galaxy s9 couldn't do it.

AnonD-675492, 02 May 2018Battery only 3000mAh? Why too small?Because it doesn't use as much power as the previous LG phones

Damn, LG beat Apple at making screen with that resolution. Yes, I hoped that Apple would make a 19.5:9 QHD+ display since they invented that ratio

Marco, 01 May 2018LCD screen, yes, but with a twist.. its not a LCD screen of... moreFrom the LG press release of a few days ago:

"LG says the 6.1-inch G7 ThinQ will have "the brightest and most vibrant" screen of any smartphone when it releases, thanks to its Super Bright Display technology. Although LG hasn't specified precisely how Super Bright Display works, the company says the effect will be remarkable. The G7 ThinQ will reportedly be able to hit a peak full-screen brightness of 1,000 nits, which will allow users to operate the phone "in almost any lighting condition," according to a press release."

I dont care if its AMOLED, POLED or IPS..as long as it is better than any phone out there.. I am hooked!.. Dont be prejudice about this, just because its not AMOLED, LG makes its own displays, so who knows what they come up with... The fact they already leaked themselves days before the official event about this also says something.. it MUST be good... tomorrow is the day.

LCD screen, yes, but with a twist.. its not a LCD screen of let say 2015 or so, it has some smart new technologies in it which makes it less power hungry but super bright with 1000 nits.. it has HDR10 certification, so that only should make you guys think twice.. This was indeed not possible with LCD's of 2017, so I I think it will be awesome. I wait for a phone like this because i will use it in a very bright sunny environment of a glider cockpit as a navigation tool. 3000 amps only is indeed an issue, but if the claim is true that the display uses 30% less power, together with the SD 845 which is also less power hungry then its pre decessor, it might come out just fine.

                  anxiously waiting for the reviews!

I would buy the phone if there was a minimised trimmed down version of Android installed, a bigger battery and AMOLED.
I don’t see the point why LG went back to LCD.
LG is a brand that tries to be good at so many things instead ends up being great at none...

My LG G6 (the current flagship) is still running Android 7.0, not even 7.1 :)
Good luck LG. Probably the battery will be bad on the G7 just like it was on the G6 and the G5.
I wouldn't own another LG smartphone even if they give it to me for free

Anthem of space, 30 Apr 2018Am music lover and I do want this phone.. but, 3KmAh battery..!!!I agree. I kept my V20 for the ability to change out the battery. My fear is that the V20 will be the last phone I ever own and I'll be relegated to buying used and rebuilds.

Im not so sceptical, I will judge it only when it comes out. It will have super sound features and few tricks on camera, too bad that it won't be selling in Baltic states :(

Always-on display (I know it can be disabled, but still), a large 6.1" LCD display, a Snapdragon 845 with 6GB of RAM (which I'd imagine to be fairly power hungry) and a 3000mAh battery? Seems like a great phone, but I think the battery life will be poor, and don't get me started on the name...

I have always been an LG fan and always waiting for their phones to come out, I find it difficult to get rid of the G5 obviously because of the IR blaster. LG needs to bring back the IR blaster and make the battery bigger than 3000mAh, and portrait mode in the camera
