What I don't like with LG, it's using the sim2 slot for it's memory expansion. The duality will become useless once you use an SD expansion memory card. Why not make a dedicated slot for memory, by then, maybe I'll buy my next smart phone unit, an LG...

LG continuously increasing the display resolution & stay still with that poor 3000mah battery. It means they hv no any idea to find a solution for their major issue, poor battery life.

This is the stupidest design coming from LG. The only obvious reason the notch exists is to eliminate the top bezel but still have somewhere to put the earpiece/front-facing camera etc.
Why would you go for a "notched" design but STILL have a top bezel above the notch????

Another bad move from LG, an innovative vendors, but never learn from competition..
G4 with SD808 n plastic.
G5 with cool modular, but ugly.
G6 with 821 while others came with 835
G7 with stupid notch

Xiaomi Mi7 uses 4500 mAh and same specs but much lower price.

LG pls don't be stingy with your battery, I love the G5 but the Battery is dissapointing.
It doesn't take Long to realise from remarks and forums like these what consumers want and need on a phone... Please Listen:
3.5mm headphone Jack and 4000ma Battery, 6GB RAM, an Expandable SD Card slot, Personally I like LG for keeping the FM receiver (Love it when I go on my Long Cycling runs, so battery doesn't drain.
And I noticed the software like iPhones tend to slow after using awhile (at least Apple admits it, full marks for being open to consumers)

I was hoping for at least a 3500 mAh battery. I will NOT buy this phone if it has a 3,000 mAh battery.

frik, 08 Apr 2018you are gona be able to hide it No, you won't cause LG themselves said that they won't be using an OLED Display for this device cause it'd cost them too much to produce such displays and they said that they'll stick to IPS displays. Even if they put such option it will drain the battery too much, cause AMOLED and OLED Displays don't drain battery on black colours.
You can take the Huawei P20 Pro, the one with the tripple cameras, it also has a notch but because it has an OLED Display, users have an option to hide the notch by spanning black colours all over the display next to the notch.
