I purchased Lg G8x yesterday...Awesome mobile....The best display and camera.
When the Dual display is switched on it is really an Attention gainer. People will keep on staring at it. Dual Speaker stereo and call quality amazing . SAR Radiation value is less. Thank you LG ....10000 Stars ..

way4gcc, 03 Apr 2020This guy is a Honor Huawei fanI'm not a Huawei/honor fan, i wanted to like this phone, but it's just a piece of sh*t, yesterday it fell from my hand while setting on a garden chair, it wasn't even 40 cm hight and i got now a cracked display, guerilla glass my a**, i just want to get rid of this phone and maybe get something from one plus or Samsung. Huawei is light years a head but I wanted something with Qualcomm 855 or 865 and that supports google apps, honor is really giving you alot more than what you pay. I mean honor 8X is getting Android 10 it has a beautiful design, good cameras, everything except the flagship Qualcomm processor, i got now the processor and lost tons of features.

Disappointed , 31 Mar 2020Don't buy this phone, i came from honor 8X a two years old ... moreHuawei/ Honor is the biggest player from China with the might to challenge Samsung & Apple on the open. Recently, Huawei P40 Pro's rear and front cameras post the high scores in DxOMark's tests, making it the new camera king while dethroning both Apple & Samsung.

It is of no doubt their EMUI is also a very polished UI, lot ahead of other Chinese manufacturers and I am truly impressed by its fluidity & seamless feel they have achieved on EMUI 10 over Android 10 in my Honor View 10. Saying that, LG's UI is not all that bad, but lacks the level of customization offered by EMUI.

Till now I am unable to find a way to lock individual apps in my LG V30+. Their is no native support.

Don't buy this phone, i came from honor 8X a two years old low-end mobile phone, i expected a lot from the south korean well known company, but expect for the dual screens and the Qualcomm 855 i found nothing. The Oled screen doesn't look significantly better than my old LCD, the size and the dimensions of honors screen are a lot better and look more premium. The UI is a mess! Huaweis EMUI is years a head. I can't believe myself, but i miss all the features of the EMUI that I can't find here! No face unlock, are you kidding me?? The fingerprint unlock rarely functions, and it doesn't always when i need to unlock my phone very quick. 6gb ram?? Even dual screen function is not that useful because almost no app supports it. External screen can't be customized, second screen does not change the lg launcher, battery life is not impressive, cameras are ok, screen scratches easily, random restarting, i don't know what else to say, except for the 855 it feels like a downgrade for me.

I'm sure LG is working hard at it. They went as far as putting the note in the original packaging telling users NOT to update yet. I'm sorry I don't know the exact version that causes this issue, but you must have it since it's there.

I've narrowed down my next Android phone to two choices: LG G8X or the Google Pixel 4 XL?

                              LG G8X ThinQ
                              - The Dual Screen is more of a bonus than a USP
                              - Sleek, elegant design. Camera is completely flush with the glass.
                              - 4000mAh battery, 3.5mm headphone jack, great haptics
                              - I'm one of those weird people who likes LG's skin. It's clean and full of customization.
                              - Low-light camera apparently not the best
                              - Lack of proprietary hardware
                              Google Pixel 4 XL
                              - Neat, minimalist design. Grippier than glass sandwhiches
                              - Smooth performance, 90hz refresh rate
                              - Outstanding camera
                              - Lots of cool gimmicks: squeeze for assistant, now playing, motion controls
                              - Medicore battery - but I'm never far from a charging port
                              - Pixel stand, Pixel Buds 2 (coming soon) accessories

Hi, Alex here... I purchased this LG G8X yesterday... Perhaps the most beautiful mobile I have ever owned in my life...Ohh My God I dont feel like keeping it down nor take my eyes off it.
Dual Screen is really a grace... Battery back up is excellent.. I sold my Galaxy Note 10 plus to buy this beast. People really turn their heads to see this beauty once again.

Seeing this, Now my wife also wants to sell off her Iphone 11 and own this marvellous piece of Engineering... 100000 Stars to LG.

i love the phone but i got it to use the 2screen and i had to do a DOA on the first one only to have the same problem on the replacement G8X dual
cause if i use the 2 screen it freeze 3/4 of the time and only time it dont freeze it by not using the case with 2nd screen and im stuck with it for 2year contract unless i can pay the 1300 Canadian $ to pay it off
im guessing the problem is a frameware not fully ready for dual screen and need a real good look at
so far it my biggest regret this year i should of when with samsung 10S for almost same value

I've been saying LG is a dead brand but this model (and v50s) caught my eye. Unbelievably only now they move the fingerprint to the front!
However, they don't offer anything to the community, rooting is not possible. Therefore, it stays a dead brand.
