What update is available to you, depends on your country(location), and what phone provider you use, as you may get one, but someone else in another country, or on another phone provider may not have any updates available, etc.

2. No update yet, 1.6 is it, but guaranteed to be posted here when there is.
3. load up/sign to google on the pc, go to google.com/calendar
go to settings..
then select "Calendar Settings"
then with the tabs which say "General, Calendars, Mobile settings, etc, click "Calendars", then on the right, click "Browse interesting Calendars".
Click "More".
look for “Contacts’ birthdays and events”, then click "Subscribe
Just resync your phone, and it should update at some point.
This works good for Google contacts. :)
But what about phone contacts? I just can't make it work the same way... :(

It's has 600 MHz CPU.
It's a Qualcomm MSM7227.

do you think the software issues will be resolved considering its not the lg software and its android??
im seriously considering trading my blackberry in for one because the blackberry app world is pants..
also why cant you save apps on the memory card? 100mb internal memory wont store many apps surely?

did you try to use SWYPE with this phone? Is it usable? Would be nice if this phone can handle it. Typing messages will be faster.

annoyed!!!, 27 Jul 2010ive got the lg optimus gt540 and loved it!! im on o2 and ge... morethe same thing happened to me, its because the apps require internet access and so when my usage runs out it charges me, so i tried to use the wifi so it doesnt charge me. My phone also had a faulty sd connection so i no longer have it.

Many thanks for the help but i got just 1 more question iv put my sd card in from my old phone but every time i download a app it stores on my phone memory and i can't find any way 2 store them 2 my sd card . Would u think if i formatted my sd card would it start working propaly with this phone by bein able 2 store my app on it many thanks
