Really, today I realize why nokia is best from every side and world leader in mobile phone. Read my experience carefully.
From my great C5 I’m using internet in my laptop(using the phone as a modem).Speed is awesome some, especially 3g speed, But without installing the nokia Pc Suite.

LoL, 19 Jul 2011Haha this is a very good phone as a cheap one. and I have m... moreor perhaps its because you have jailbroken your phone - and made it better, however, the base model is laggy and slow and does not come with App2SD and runs Android 1.6 its just not worth it.
Im using the phone in the correct way, the updated 2.1 model. I cannot tell you how wrong you are, madam.

For the price, phone is really great... And with some software from android market it works kinda fast too... so I really recomend this phone ;)

The phone is not that bad as a lot of users wrote in comments. If you want better, then there are better phones in the market. For the price, GT540 is perfect. The battery is good for an android & recharges pretty fast, like in 45 minutes. Upgraded it to 2.1 via Rom installer. Working all smoothly now. Only problem is that the applications get installed on the phone memory. I think that will be resolved in future official upgrades or even 2.2/2.3 custom Rom. The camera is good for daytime shots. A lot of free apps on LG world & a simple data plan is enough. If anyone wants to try out android for the first time, this is the phone for you.
