thanks RottenFoxBreath i have my yahoo messenger installed on it.. i cant use it now but the problem is when i run it the phone keeps freezing why is that..? can anybody help me fix the problem? thanks!

Different "models" for different operators..same phone, but they give them different names for different companies, such as, in the uk, the o2 one is called the GT540GO.

LGgt540 s an awesome phone at just 10500(indian rupee).
just few days back i updated to android 2.1v... so its full of fun here...
any idea abt android 2.2 update...

Helo every one,dont buy dis worst phone..bcoz of poor batery wich cums for half a day..and cant open yahoo nd rediff on net..and poor sound efect..only ting z touch is vry gud...

Possibly the cheapest android phone on the market at only £100, wifi is pretty fast and the android market is there to entertain any use with its large list of apps.
The shape and style isn't the best compared to LG's other mobiles but thats my own opinion, also for those that are having issues with performance and battery life i high recommend upgrading to v2.1 as its much more efficient.

Its all the same across all platforms regardless of size + storage of battery. Take factors into account such as general usage, 3G, WiFi, brightness and SD card read/write.

No wonder...Does it really need said, time and time again, that wifi and 3G(or dodgy 3G connections) will eat your battery.
Either leave them off, till you need them, or set your network to only use 2G networks if your connection is dodgy.
1-2 days is what everyone gets across the board roughly, so no point in complaining about it.
