I appreciate what you say, but don't agree with your post.
I have been using computers for over 20 years, so I'm not a noobie!
It isn't a problem with people not knowing what they are doing, it's a problem with the Windows 7 drivers. Go to Modaco and search if you don't believe me. There are plenty of posts, some from people a lot cleverer than me, who are experiencing the same problem; and THEY can't sort it out.

You are using the main administrator account?, as vista has issues like this, also, you do have debug/dev mode ON in applications, on the phone?
There are issues, but its people who dont do it right, or dont read, as there must be a ton of people got it working... :)

nah, ive got pretty small hands but when im at home at least, i use Android Manager WiFi.
You just install the app on ur phone, and the corresponding one on ur PC, and over wifi you can compose and send SMS on ur pc, manage contacts, backup apps etc.
thats when ur at home/office neway, out and about ur still stuck with touching

It's not the phone that is the problem, it's Modaco's software. Judging by the number of people complaining about it, it must be half written. The correct drivers should have been included, but they weren't.

I found those drivers before you linked them. They don't install. I even tried Device Manager to try and install them. No joy.

I loaded the link you suggested. On step 3 on the first post it states:
I presume then after clockwork is installed you simply follow these steps? ...
And THAT is the problem. Clockwork WON'T install properly. When I run it, it only shows my PC's DVD drive, and a lot of other people are experiencing the same problem. If Clockwork doesn't run then you can't install the rom.
I spent half a day trying to get Clockwork to run properly, but it doesn't, so please don't try telling me it only takes a few minutes.

There is a link to the drivers in the previous post from me here, and theres plenty of driver packs to choose from, and it really only takes about 2 mins to flash, and can't be messed up, unlike LG's absolutely garbage update procedure..

Theres Rockplayer, YXplayer, Mplayer, the bog standard Android one, Act1, etc..
For battery life, I wouldnt trust any of them, best saver of battery, kill the apps, Taskkiller,etc.
keyboards, well, slideIT, swype, etc..really, why not just search the market for them, and get a free trial, if you dont like it, delete it, or get a refund.
