Fast as! Running lovely on my GT540 @ 825MHz.m

For those who have problems with sound please get this. It pumps up the bass and the overall feel of the audio output 10********** in my opinion.

great starter-smartphone for kids. its cheap in stores by now, i bought four for the original price of one, sold the two of them, slightly overpriced, and gave one to my youngest (8yrs), and the last one we gave away as a birthday present.

Shitty for music unless at a high volume/impedance; shittily-shielded soundcard.
The 3" screen's a bit too small to draw on, but it works for the most part. The phone doesn't easily detect the edges of the touchscreen when it's being pressed on.
The hardware buttons Call/Home/End are becoming a bit shitty; requires pressing a bit more even after it 'click's before it responds.
Rooting was easy once I found the correct thing to use.
SuperOneClick + ratc worked on the stock 2.1-update1 ROM.
Anyway, don't get this one unless you have to, in my opinion.
But hey, at least it runs Android.

Anonymous, 20 Jun 2012i have an idea of buying this one............wil it worth? If you want a unresponsive phone that sense to the fist, lack of storage, crappy customer support and a brand name that gives you nothing but grief than go ahead, it's worth your money

Face is, have this crap phone over estimating it. Ohh loooookkkk at my gt540 I upgraded this piece of trash to android 4.0.4! It hogs all my memory and CPU cycles! Look it's 256MB DDR ram is faster than the One X's Dual Channel 1GB DDR2 ram!
Since I upgraded my dying optimus gt540 to ICS, the 600MHz ARM11 single processor is faster than a 1.5GHz QuaD core A9 Tegra 3!!
The hideously slow adreno 200 is faster than the Tegra 3 ULV GeForce!

The slowest phone i have ever used. A very long delay in response. From time to time it freezes and nnothing is working. I tried to upgrade but it didn't work.

I hated this phone. Had it with Adnroid 2.1 (almost impossible to upgrade further because you can't find a fastboot rom to put cyanogenmod on it). Gets slow fast after opening 2-3 applications like facebook, whatsapp and gmail. really slow for youtube.

I can't believe there would be fanboys that takes Hell over heaven.
Even the original slow 400mhz iphone can handle it.
the defender game? full speed, yep has to fps? 5? great one. how on earth are you suppose to enjoy it?
swiftdroid is slow, just displays fake benchmark scores. in real world basic non 3d intensive racing games are ranging thunder 2 plays ok, doesn't hang nor run at smooth frame rates which is really a poor excuse for a fast phone.
i don't believe a 900mhz arm11 cpu is fast. compared to my SGS underclocked to 800mhz cortex a8... the SGS is way faster.
SGS2 is even faster with arm cortex a9
but i wouldnt say it fast anymore... not like "Ohhh the galaxy s2 is faster than the quad core 1.5ghz one x!". Your comment is just unrealistic.
