You can get a code on ebay for about £1.50, for it, and Modaco' have the custom 2.1 roms..

for a code for £1.50, look on ebay for a guy called "snyper747", and or look for "UNLOCK CODE ZTE - Orange San Francisco ZTE Blade Racer" to get it.

Modaco have a 2.1 custom job just now, and Froyo is in early stages, a clean one with no crap..lol

Thanks man, I took your advice I'm glad I did. I bought a SF and I'm impressed. It's a nice piece of kit for that price.
All I've got to do now is buy an unlock code for it and remove the crap Orange apps and I'll be a happy chappie!

Seriously, yeah, its a great buy..
It's got a great screen, it's fast has A-GPS(real A-GPS), wifi, bluetooth, etc, and a 3.5" OLED capacitive screen with 800x400 resolution.
the camera isnt too great in dim light, but fine in normal light, apart from that, its excellent, runs custom 2.1 roms, and a Froyo custom job has been released by the guys over on Modaco..

                  @ RFB

I've sold my GT540 as well. My main complaint was that I couldn't hear the freaking thing when it rang, the volume is so low. I've lost count of the number of calls I missed.
Anyway - my question - I've seen your comments about the San Francisco and I like the look of it. Is it a good buy? At the moment it's only £99 in the Orange shop and I'm tempted to buy one. I would appreciate your honest opion of it before I part with my money.
                  Cheers.

[deleted post]The Samsung has smaller screen resolution and video recording...but has slightly higher processor, slightly bigger screen and ROM storage. Otherwise all about the same.

I had this fone for three weeks, no so bad but its boring, the resistive touch was not for me, just bought the samsung i5801. If you have a little more then go for the i5800 or i5801.

Download APN Backup & Restore, from the market, and save your APN's, on your SD card, and they can move phones with you, as you just restore them, if you ever have trouble again, either on this phone with an update(which will wipe everything), or on another phone.

Anonymous, 22 Oct 2010Browser SettingsLet me state my problem again for everybody. I bought an LG optimus GT540 phone from Mobile City Online. It is an International version. I am in the U.S. I have A.T.& T. This is the second one I got. The first one had the same problem. I need to find out what the browser setting are so I can connect to the Internet and send picture messages. Mobile City sells lots of these and no one else has a problem. I ned to find someone who has one of these so I can find out what settings to put in my phone. Neither AT&T nor LG have been able to find out what those settings are.
