Could you please tell me how does the sliding notification window work from the top, how do I turn it on (when you have a missed call or message)?. It only works when my phone is in horizontal position..... Thanks

Dear Dileun, My lg gt540 purchased on 29-9-10 only shows LG logo since yesterday. LG CCC gives opinion of hardware problem not software problem and assures its replacement within 2/3 weeks. Is it actually hardware problem?

This must surely be one of the worst phones that I have used. Firstly when LG is selling a phone which has a touch pencil they should give a proper pouch for the phone which can accomodate the pencil. I am still searching for a suitable pouch - there is none in the market here in chennai, india. probably LG expects its customers to be walking around with that pencil above their ears!
Second problem is that with many other phones, I can re-dial a last called number with just 1 or 2 button presses. It is not possible in this phone. there seems to be no short cut to bring up the last called number.
when i speak using this phone the phone goes on hold. the location of the hold button in the screen is horrible.
if i have recieved a call from somebody and if i want to add his number to the phone book, i have only the limited option of adding his number as a landline. all other options like additional mobile numbers, address, notes etc., are not available. for this i have to open the new contact form and enterr everything. it is such a stupid thing with this phone.
the seller told me that push mail works on this phone. but after buying i find that only google mail will work as a push mail.
in any other phone, if i have a missed call, it will show all the details of the missed call as soon as i unlock the phone and i can also call that person. it is not so in this useless phone. missed call shows as a minute icon at the top of the screen.
this phone is a total waste of money i would say.

I just want to find easy way to send contact using SMS, in other phones there is an option to attach or insert contacts while creating SMS or send contacts via SMS.
Send Contact application really help.

You could always copy and paste the info...or write it down and enter it into a text message, or install something like Send Contact, from the market...but why?..
