For the screen?
The screen unlock is a join the dots affair, no password is needed, all you need to do is draw a symbol, then repeat it, and it saves.
So every time you activate the screen, you join the dots in the symbol you selected.
Or are you talking about something else, like the credential lock?

Hi All,
I have updated my device to 2.1 too, many thanks to RFB for the links and the guide!!
An interesting thing happened though, I have used the KDZ updater, and received "C++ Runtime Error" message just after starting.
While I was trying to understand the message I noticed that the updater is actually still running behind the message window, and my phone is already in Emergency mode. So I didn't "OK" the message (as it would have closed the application straight away), just waited, and voila, the update was successful.
Tell me about sweating.. :))

I used LG Utilities and it got stuck at 4% like everyone...luckily I rebooted the phone and the installation continued fluently to the end. And yes...I was pretty much sweating the whole way lol.

Yeah. v2.1 works pretty good. However I played around with the lock pattern screen and got the email and pw unlock prompt. Inputting my correct email and pw does not unlock the screen and always return "Invalid username and password." Anyone else got same problem?

Did you post that your contacts had gone something like this:
xxx-xxxx-xxxx from previous versions?
If so, welcome to 2.1..the westernised/americanised android platform..lol..
2 things you can do, either export them to SD, assigning them groups, etc, and de-hyphening them, then import them into your google account from your pc.
deselect phone and sim contact section on the phone, and select google contacts, on the phone.
then sync...that'll sync them into their correct groups without hyphens.
OR
Download "Morelocale 2", from the market, run it once, select english, GB, from the custom locale section, ok it, and voila..never ever have to think about it again.
For anyone else, there are a ton, and i mean a ton of locales on this programme..

I dug out my old laptop, (don't ask, Windows XP, 1MB Ram, and I'd probably get about £2.00 for it on eBay). I installed all the drivers etc. and tried again. IT WORKED ! (So much for my state of the art Windows 7 PC!)

runs perfectly fine on win 7 ultimate ed. 64 bit.. No crash or hangups.

People have tried this procedure both on Windows XP and win7 x64, so it should work on yours as well.Altough some do report crashing. Restart the computer, close all non-essential programs, make sure you're not plagued by a virus/trojan/malware and try again!

Only now when I try to update the program freezes with the following dialog box -
MOD UpTestEX MFC application has stopped working.
Is this because I am using the wrong updating file.
The one I am using is named V20B_00.kdz
Is this the correct file? If it isn't, where do I get the correct one?

[deleted post]Did you try to run windowsEnabler.exe as administrator? Right-click on the executable -> run as administrator. ;)
