this one is a good bang for the buck. cheap and has all the android environment for beginners to enjoy. i had so many phone models used and definitely this one is worth more than the price!

Low budget Android phone with lot of connectivity, i recommend this phone for the android fan. I have it almost one month and satisfying by it performance although there is no support for flash player and video call. Hope LG will release the high class version for this kind of phone.

How do i install in apps in phone memory i seem not to be getting the option while setting up app, my phone memory is already full.
also i have been experience this phone freezing a number of times and had to remove the battery cos it wont just respond to any key...anyone with an idea to resolve this?

You can't install to memory card, only 2.2 can.
there is something called Apps2SD, but whether or not you can get it working on this phone without bricking it, is anyones guess.

Thank you for emailing LG Electronics Australia and New Zealand Pty Ltd.
In relation to the GT540, the operating system it currently runs on is version 1.6 (Donut). We will be upgrading the operating system to version 2.1 (Éclair) some time in September this year.
I hope this has been of some assistance.

LG in Australia have said that update will be available sometime in September, they could not give me an exact date for the release of the update.
Hope this helps, looks like it might be at the end of the month i reckon......:-(

This update for the U... morei have a s-e w902, the ringing volume is verry high....but in a noisy crowd i can t heare it...so...if you want it to ring lowder put a polyphonic ringtone or the mp3 that serves as a ringtone should be edited on a pc for higher volume :P
