Nope, you can't, as the "5" or whatever number screens there are, aren't seperate screen's, they are just like extensions of the 1 screen.
You do get some smart wallpapers on the net that give the perspective type of view, and look cool when scrolling left or right.
Just hang off for 2.1, and you will be able to use some really cool Live Wallpapers like the Live Zombies one.

hi!
how can i make order into the photo GALLERY?
i mean I whould like divide in different folders different type of photos, like in a Windows folder where you can create several folders where you move in the pictures you wish.

Hey, 2.1 officially out in thailand, i went to LG thailand last weekend and the sales person told me if i guy GT540, i can automatically get the 2.1 upgrade right away.

I tried to contact LG via email in AUS/NZ and all they could do was to tell me to call LG in USA and get put in a queue to speak with a more qualified team... Anyone tried asking LG directly either via phone or Twitter?

Not my fault lol..
LG seem to be dragging their heels, but have mentioned that all new or future models of the 540 will ship with the 2.1 update.
If you google it, you can see shots of it with 2.1 on it, and theres some videos of the same on youtube.

How can I install apps & games on my sd card? I've already rooted my phone using some 3rd party app but it still uses my phone memory.

No, the ringtone volume is fine, but if you have a low volume mp3, then expect low volume in return.
you can turn it up, and it is quite loud.

I await 2.1 as well, once it is out, I will buy it, unless new LG Optimus announced today will be out with 2.2
It is a pity that no 2.2 for GT540 but it is understandable, coz otherwise it is a cheaper competitor for the new phones in the Android line-up.

Spoke to LG UK customer services regarding the 2.1 update, and didnt seem to have any clear date for release.
However then called LG UK head office, where someone went and spoke to someone in the mobile team (the team who tested 2.1 on the phone and deal with the release) and they said that it went through the final tests last week, and is scheduled for release within this week.
