hay, i have purchase GT540 yesterday, its cool cell phone but problem is that im not able to open sites like, gmail, orkut, facebook, yahoo, can anyboby help me regarding the same and for mobile internet which network is good ? i reside in mumbai. thanks

Just do soft press of the widget items then drag into the below of Menu area, automatically Delete Zone will be highlighted. then Drop your widget in that area it will automatically removed from idel screen.

2) On home screen, click 'Menu' button and click 'Add'. Select the number of screens you want and click 'OK'.

I just purchased this phone and I love it so far! I'm trying to figure out a few things though. How do I remove widgets from the screen? How can I have more than 3 screens? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You need to view your contacts from the phone, not the sim card, this way, you can add photos to all contacts.

I've also been trying to add photos to contacts, and it seems that as long as it's an email address, I can add a pic, but try to add a pic to any other kind of contact, and it doesn't work!
Any hints are gratefully received!
Also, is the 2.1 release a definite?

I know this might sound daft, but have you made the GT540 'Discoverable'?
You don't just turn Bluetooth on and hope it is found by other devices.
Try - Menu, Wireless controls, Bluetooth settings.
In that sub menu, the third entry is 'Discoverable'. Hit the checkbox (Tick), and the GT540 is 'Discoverable' for 120 seconds. Then 'Scan for Devices'.
I just paired my GT540 with my Nokia 5800 with no problems.

There's usually some sort of pairing, between the two, as in when i paired with my old Samsung, it asked for a passcode, to connect the 2, so you enter 0000, and you may have to do it again, on the LG, when the file is being sent.
So try to search again, for the phone, on both phones, so they pick up each other, then see if it wants a code entered.

If has demerit of resistive touch otherwise i defineatly buy it . i think samsung i5800 is better

My contact icon issue has been solved. I am able to now add photos as contact icon. I was also able to create folder. Thank u very much.
The only issue unresolved is Blue tooth file transfer from other phones to GT540. While i am able to transfer files to other phones, i am unable to receive any file as the source phone itself blinks "Sending Failed". Can anyone help?
