LG handset running Windows Phone 7 caught in the wild
Handsets running Windows Phone 7 won't hit the shelves before the holiday season but here we have the first of them making a public appearance. The QWERTY-enabled touchscreen device was demonstrated by no other than Aaron Woodman, Microsoft's director of Mobile Communication Business.
The details about the first Windows Phone 7 device to go live are still pretty scarce but it will most probably complete the Chassis 2 requirements posted by Microsoft the other day. That means there will be a 1 GHz or faster CPU ticking inside it and the screen resolution will be WVGA at least.

The device also packs a 5 megapixel camera, microUSB connector and a 3.5mm audio jack. If the device turns out to be the rumored LG Apollo we should also be expecting 720p video recording, 1GB of RAM and an AMOLED display. And all that goodness is packed in a body only marginally thicker than the Google Nexus One. Nice going, LG.

is windows 7 mobile gonna be as easy and useful as windows 7 desktop? i find windows 6.5 and 6.1 on an orange handset very tricky and confusing. A newbie smartphone user will never like windows 6.1 specially.

The phone is sort of similar to moto's droid with the backflips keyboard

Don't really like the real-keyboard type. Prefer the one at MWC Conference.
