Once you buy the LG K42, let me know the Gcam you are using.Since K42 is running 32 bit android the gcam support is limited to older version like gcam 3.2 or 4.2 which do not have portrait mode, night mode etc. But the image quality is quite good compared to stock camera ( if raw support is available ).
    I am telling this because i am currently using a low end Samsung with 32 bit android and iam using a gcam version called 'gc 3.1 night shot' by modder 'expace'. The link is available at https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-Expace/
    I am now interested in K42 because it has 3d sound engine ( Samsung phone have Dolby atmos ) and gcam support. But in my area lockdown restrictions are present. So iam waiting.

            Can you please confirm if call recording is available?. You can check if LG K42 supports google camera by installing a 32kb app called Manual Camera Compatibility and check the results. If all options are ticked then K42 have full gcam support. Please check and tell if you don't mind. Thanks..

And yes apart from the 10 watts wall charger & USB cable we also get a free transparent silicon case. No headphones though.

              NFC even present have no use in our country while the FM radio app is one the best I have ever seen. Radio reception is stellar. I had always used LG flagship devices which never came with any radio app, so my first experience with LG radio app on K42 is quite positive.

              I you judge a phone by its user experience & in hand feel rather than raw performance, the K42 delivers. This is were similarly priced budget Chinese phones fail. Mid range and high end Chinese phones are in a different level though.

                    2) The rating of supplied wall charger? Mine is a (5V, 2A) 10 watts charger.

                    The India bound LG K42 have below specs:

                    Model: LM-K420YMV
                    Dual SIM support: Yes
                    Software Version: V10b-IND-XX
                    Build Number: QKQ1.200614.002
                    Android Version: 10
                    Android security patch level: 01-Dec-2020

                    From what I know Australia & India gets the same LM-K420YMV model. Correct me if I am wrong.

                      I bought my LG K42 for a very low price of $36 Australian dollars.....Its a promo from Vodafone that I will pay $1 a month for 36 months........I totally love this phone

                          Pros of LG K42:

                          1) Build quality. Much better than Chinese counterparts.
                          2) Unique exterior design, offers good grip in hand.
                          2) The 6.6 inch display is one of the best in its price range in terms of color reproduction and brightness. Observed no pixelation issues.
                          3) Oleophobic coating on display is unheard in this segment. Gives the phone a very premium look and serves the purpose with almost no smudges on the screen.
                          4) Clean LG UI over Android 10, devoid of any ads. A big plus.
                          5) Very good sound quality through headphone jack with LG 3D sound engine. No phone in the same price range can compete here.
                          6) Modern USB Type-C port.
                          7) Triple card slot, Dual SIM 4G VoLTE
                          8) Memory expansion support upto 2TB.
                          9) FM radio reception is one of the best in this segment.
                          10) Has NFC support.

                          Cons of LG K42:

                          1) Not to be used as primary device with 100 apps running at background. The processor & RAM are not capable to handle the load. I am using it as my secondary device with some of my required apps and it is not at all sluggish. I observed even using one very resource intensive app at a time with no multitasking will cause no issues.
                          2) Chinese manufacturers provides much better specification for the same price, but does not come with the same build quality, display quality & clean UI experience of K42.
                          3) The bottom firing speaker is not loud enough.
                          4) Battery backup is very good but not outstanding. Chinese manufacturers provide 6000 mAh battery for same price.
                          5) Camera quality is so so, nothing class leading.

                          Now about your questions:

                          1) LG K42 does not have any dedicated audio chips like QuadDACs found on LG flagships. This is a premium feature. However it does have Mediatek audio codecs which ships with Mediatek Helio P22 SoC. What I can say is LG was able to extract the maximum from this budget audio codec and enhance the sound with their own 3D sound engine software. But its no match for the mighty LG QuadDACs.
                          2) No idea about GCAM, inform me if you find a good one.

                                    Bought one today from Flipkart @ ₹7,249 after card discounts. I got it after hefty discounts as the same phone was launched at ₹11,000 in India back in Jan, 2021. There are lot of better phones available at same price from Chinese counterparts but I wanted to taste the LG flavor. And LG K42's built quality in unique, unheard in this price range.
