Help! I not sure what mobile phone I should buy, the Renoir or the Pixon.
I have read the review at phonearena and they have scored the Pixon much higher. They have also stated that the camera is much better.
This is going against the 8 megapixel camera shoot review done by gsmarena., where the pixon, I believe came last.
Please help, which phone is better.

Just to ask again, does the file manager loads faster than the Viewty? I remembered it took 1 minute on the Viewty just to load my music library!

well, if the battery life is so short if we use the phone to browse web, then btr go for other better alternative. i am actually looking into Samsung i900 Omnia also. how is this phone? need to see the comment on that thread again. currently, i still feel impressed by the LG KC 910's 8mp cam phone. but i do like Samsung Omnia too. and for Nokia E71, i think i shld move on to Touch Screen phone already... trendy?

i am eagerly waiting for this phone to be out and still waiting. I was gonna consider this phone, Pixon and Nokia 5800. After reading most review on all 3 phones, I believe 5800 is a good choice. LG renoir, no doubt is pack with features and goodies, but poor battery life, buggy software and ringtone is soft. Anyway, i will make my purchase once i get a hold and try on all of these phones.

How... moreSorry, i meant that Orange had removed the free Maps app that you would get if you bought an unlocked Renoir with no Orange branded firmware. I still have the "Orange Maps" icon which doesn't work until Orange start the service and work out how much £ to charge. Theiving B*$TARD5! SO i'm sticking with MGMaps. it seems better interface than Google Maps (which doesn't recognize the touch screen for scrolling and selecting)

Mine doesn't, unless i put the resolution to 400x240. All the other modes are slightly out. Wondering if it's all Renoirs or just mine?

I just received the phone and the outer jacket says "Tri-Band 900/1800/1900". I thought this is a quad-band according to the specs listed here.

Don't know why they don't use a dedicated speaker for loudspeaker instead of the earphone speaker. The sound is too soft. I Prefer samsung Pixon for that, loud and clear...

Hi Anonymous.
I got KC910 with a 2 year contract tied to it at Plaza Singapura StarHub roadshow last Saturday. The promotional price with a low plan was $498. However, I got $100 off for roashow special so it would be $398. I traded in my old phone for $100 and got a $50 voucher. In short, I paid only $248 : )
The highest level of volume of ringtone is 7. Not very loud (not like Nokia phone i guess). If I know that I will be at crowded/very noisy place, I will change the profile to "Silent". By the way, the vibration is quite strong.
I guess if anyone keeps on toying with the phone camera or recorder, do video-streaming and surf the Web, battery will get drained pretty fast. I did that (who doesn't when one gets a new phone)and the battery bar dropped from 3 (Maximum) to 2 bar few hours later (when my eyes were feeling the strain). No issue actually. Not as if one will get "stuck" in a jungle where a flat battery means no chance of survival! It does not take very long to charge it back to full anyway. Just kidding. But you get my point.

i just went to starhub oubc to try out this phone.
the touch screen is ok
camera should be ok also if the objects are not moving (i thk this is the standard problem but it can be solved by using DSLR or SLR with A/S/M mode).
didnt try to make phone call when i was there coz no sim card inside the phone. one thing i would like to ask is that, How abt the Call connectivity? Fast enuf? Can call thru within 3 seconds?
Years ago, i tried SonyEric69x series, the phone call take 8 to 10seconds to call thru that's why i sold off the phone and switch back to old Nokia3120 and Motorola L6.
any idea?

Could anyone pls tell me whether the video recording quality of LG Renoir is better than that of Samsung Pixon..?? Also i want to know about the standby time of LG Renoir..?? If anyone know pls reply.
