I really wanted to like this phone, been looking forward to it for a while. But the 8 megapixel comparison reviews that I've seen haven't been encouraging.

wow what a another awesome phone from LG. glad they put the lens cover idea on thats so helps. looks a good phone. but lets hope the battery life will be good.

The first piece, you connect to your phone with the propriety LG-connection. It exists out of a short cable with a small control-box, which has some buttons, a microphone integrated and a 3.5mm jacket in which you can plug in the second part of the headset, or any other headphones for walkmans/phones or the speakers for walkmans. So, if the quality of the headphones do not meet your expectations, eventhough they are not all that bad, you can easily swap them for any of your liking.

Bilou, 11 Oct 2008The phone is nice but HUGE brick, bigger than ViewtyIt actually is only 4mm higher, 1 wider, but with that, 1 mm more thin. With those dimensions it actually is smaller than some of it's competitors, like the Apple iPhone or the Samsung Omnia. It is only slightly thicker (1-2mm) due to it's 8mp camera. In that light, the phone is not all that huge.

Anonymous, 09 Oct 2008i have the viewty and i love it, and i know this will be am... moreif you hold the picture capture button half way down so the camera has a chance to auto focus, then press it the rest of the way the picture will be taken straight away.

i have the viewty and i love it, and i know this will be amazing also, the camera on my viewty is good but takes about 5 seconds from pressing the button until the picture is took. will this be the same does anyone know? coz if so then 8mp is pointless

Hello all, hope this help.
Just bought a LG Viety. Great phone!! Looks like the Renoir is a improvement over the Viety. The features that I thought was weak or missing on the Viety were implemented on the Renoir ie..wifi/accelometer/gps/external memory location/touch screen response. Just hope the processor is faster. From what the reviewed said, with 8 gigs of external memory in it, the response was still good, but how much data was in the external memory. Try loading 8gigs of music and video, hahah. I also wonder, why don't iphone competitor won't use a scratch resistant screen, instead of cheap plastic. Perhap cost or just plain ol wieght issue? Anyway, the Renoir will definetly be my next phone, can't wait :) Just wondering how much this will cost, hmmm Price will definely be my top priority, that's why I choose the Viety over an "iphone" and other competitors (All over price) Keep up the GREAT!! work LG :) OH YEH, by the way my wife has an iphone. She got tired of it like 2 month later. She's much happier with the Viety. Don't get me wrong, the iphone is a great, it's just to much money and has less features. One more thing, I wouldn't call this a iphone killer or copy. It's a improvement from what they have already.
