yes it has that feature if you open new text msg and then press # you will find it!

I hate how you have to type out each letter while text messaging. on my old phone, the words come up automatically. Does this phone just not have that feature?

I have the LG Shine Slide Gold. I find that it isn't as great as it is advertised. I mean it's a gorgeous phone that gets a lot of attention, but the features that I expected of it is very poor. The calendar only holds and supports 100 events and the events can only be about 10-20 characters. Flash light photos do indeed come out poor, I haven't had a chance to put in the memory card but I am sure that it will have problems as listed on that website provided below. Great tip when buying a phone, do the research before hand to not be diappointed.

a few question i want answered, since i don't have an english manual. i check lg site and they don't have an english manual either.
1)is there anyway to remove the ENTRY button on the right? since i don't have internet, its not in use. anyway i can change the Entry button to NEW TEXT MESSAGE?
2)is there a way to save your text message on the the sim card?

im also having the same problem as emma..in the inbox for SMS my messages don't come up with the peoples names it just has their phone numbers so if i don't know the number then i'm not sure whos messaging me. Also when i get an incoming call the number just comes up on the phone and the name doesn't appear. If anyone knows how to fix this problem please let me know as it's really annoying.

I cant seem to download P3's to the MP3 playlist I can download MP3s to the sounds folder. How do I get to the MP3 folder?

Hy. Do you know some java app that works like a video player for this phone ? I just want to see the 3GP in full screen , but the phone doesn't support this feature . Thanks .

Australian telco Telstra released this phone as a prepaide for $AUD249
Overall it is a good phone but the battery is a tad bit on a short lifespan.
I love the screen resolution- it's perfect however hard to see the screen on a bright Australian daylight.
The MP3 player is fantastic- better than alot of SE Walkman phones. Message sound is slightly on the softer side.
I did not encounter whatsover problem with my phone- it works just fine but then I never drop my phone. Scroller keys need getting use to.
The large screen and mettalic body lends a ultra sophisticated looking phone. 9/10 for me.

i only uploaded .gif animation files and put it in images folder, these work i don't know about the others!! ;)

Sorry for asking again, but i have problems. There's one: I tried to upload some flash animation (.swf) using the USB data cable. I put the files in the Images folder on the phone, but when I wanted to see them, there was any animation. The animations simply don't appear in the memory of the phone/external memory. How can I upload some animations files and where can i put them (which folder/directory)? Thx

sebi i think that the problems with video or mp4 are related to the memory on the phone but i'm no sure. i didn't have that problem. i think that the phones r a bit diferent depending on network. that's why some have different applications. ;)

ccl, thanks for your reply. A nice trick with the MP3 player. But there is nothing to do with the games and app.? When I bought the phone I thought it's like in the reviews, but it isn't. There is also a problem when I play a mpg4/3gp video, because it plays in slow motion (i mean it plays videos slowly) and I cannot watch well the videos. Do you have the same problems?

Sebi, i bought mine in poland and is the same you cannot change the settings on mp3. which sucks but what i've done to solve that is to change the song name. for example put 1(song name) and 2(song name) that way all your songs will be in the beginning of the play list which is a lot better than searching ;). Nothing else to do i guess!!
