QsNS - I have tried alarm while on vibrate and all the phone does is vibrate, to get the alarm to make a noise you have to have the phone on general or loud, but their must be a way to fix that, because even if phone is on silent or vibrate you should still be able to have an alarm go ff, thats the whole point of the alarm!

Are you sure that it won't do this anyway?
Just checked on my Motorola PEBL and the alarm will sound even if the phone is on vibrate.

Hi guys. Just got this phone yesterday and I have to say it is gorgeous to look at. Put the software that comes with the phone on my laptop but it is very tricky to get working so I wont be using it. I do have one question - I like my phone on vibrate all the time, but I also need my alarm to wake me up in the mornings, is their a way to have the phone on vibrate but for the alarm to make a noise when it goes off without having to change to General or loud profile? Any help is much appreciated.

Jus got the phone - and although very cool - some niggles which can really annoy.
1. after slider is closed the screen just goes blank making the phone look like it is switched off ! very annoying
2. pictures from pc - although copy across - cannot be viewed on the lg.
3. Pc sync software is awful and so far does not work.
Why cant nokia invent a similar designed phone with the nokia great interface.
Might move onto a samsung d800

this phone is storming!!!! totally rate it, not only does it look the biz, it performs well. Had it a week, and yes the touch pad can be a bit annoying but you get used to it. Reasonable camera, nice interface. 9/10. highstreetmobile.com podcast rates it well high amongst store staff, and apparently its going on all the networks from June. Cool!

I think your pictures need to be in the reduced size of 72x72? or something, I read in the manual that that is what they need to be, but have yet to try it myself.

Hi
just got this phone on Saturday and very nice it is too. I like a phone to be a phone so not worried about small memory etc. The only thing is that I do like to have a photo with contacts and I can't see assign a picture. When you get to the picture box it says 'phonebook picture empty'. Umm - what am I doing wrong? Any help appreciated. Thanks

hello i just got my phone last wed, i really like it but still trying to get used to txting its a lil slow for me, also i cant get round to the end button being on the side and not on the keypad, and can anyone please tell me does it have a loudspeaker option and can u delay the self lock for longer than 3secs when handset is closed. appreaciate ur replies thanx

jus recieved my chocolate and wen charging (this must sound like the rest but its not) the screen goes blank yeah but wen i press the power buton it shows the battery meter again? is this the problem or not? jus woundering thanks

LOL how can people be so stupid... how dare you ask about the sim card slot... come on you people are always undermining Mexico and even I undestand the no card slot... well you might think I ride a donkey and drink tequila, but at least I can understand basic mobile phone concepts... and by the way I drive a nice BMW own a O2 phone and hate tequila...

Remember the guy who suggested last week that he had got software to change the lights from red to blue? Well, this is what LG Customer Services say:
Dear Sir,
Thank you for your email and apologies for the delay in responding to you.
It is not possible to change the colour of the touch keypad backlight. There is no software available for this.

Enfo, I had the same problem, but when I opened the slider (whilst connected to usb) it all downloaded fine - keep trying!

I have recntly just got one of these phones and its really nice. I have added the LG hardware onto my computer and tried to use LG contents bank were you can download music to your phone but i am having problems connecting. it keeps says initializing even when the programme has been running for some time i just cannot connect. does anyone have any answers for me?????

I have one of these phones and all i can say is that this phone is gorgeous!!! the size is very reasonable and the looks are very slick! I have actually replaced my 8800 of this phone. only critism is that its a touch slow for the fast texters.
