this phone is the absolute bain of my life. had it for over a year and at first thought i could put up with the txt buttons being so stiff so txting took ages...but after a few months of having to switch it off and on again to make/recv calls, i'm getting rid of this lump of cr@p and starting a better life with my sony ericsson!!

I have got this phone for more than 4 months, and all i have to say is that i'm not regreted from buying it and it is a very beatiful phone and I like it. But the problem is that this phone doesn't last for too long as other phones such as "nokia does"!

This is by far the sleekest phone I've ever been drawn to buy. However, it is also the one with the most problems. It started off with little things here and there: the screen would blank out occasionally, it would randomly call people even when the touchpad was locked, and sometimes the touchpad would freeze all together keeping me from making any calls. I loved the phone so much at first so I figured it was a small price to pay for how much I enjoyed being using it overall. ( It's MP3 sound is AMAZING.) Well, I was willing to put up with the little problems -that is until one day the screen went totally blank. I still used it because the touchpad was fine and I went to the manual to memorize where each option was. I even knew how to text without a screen! But, not to my surprise, the touchpad locked not long after, and now, I can't do anything at all, except recieve phonecalls. That may not seem too bad until you're stuck at school in Pasadena (where tha traffic is usually pretty bad) after your 3 hour class was cancelled, and it had just started to rain. This MAJOR problem started on October 14th, of 2007. Why do I remember this date? Because it was my birthday. I've been having people leave my voicemessages because I can ony call my voicemail since if you press and hold 1, it will take you directly there. Luckily, LG did not set THAT feature into the touchpad!
Anyways, once I have a saved voicemail from someone, I can press 8 to "reply" and the message system will carry out my calls for me. This may not seem too bad either, until you need to reach the person who's the 15th saved voicemessage on your voicemail. You can always skip the messages before it to get to the one you're looking for, but it will still take several minutes. And even then, if the person you're "calling" doesn't pick up, you can either leave them a voicemessage, or repeat those steps all over again. And if you have friends like mine, who hardly ever check their messages, it's not a good thing. Last year, I still qualified for the 1 year warrenty LG offers with this phone, but since it's an "imported phone", the warrenty does not apply. I went in to go have it repaired, and the price was half that of the phone itself, and even once it's fixed, there's no gaurentee it will not happen again and they're not required to give you a refund either. Before investing anymore money into this phone, I did some research and found out that a good amount of people who HAD this phone repaired had IN FACT experienced the same problems shortly after. So from MY experience, although the LG KG800 is lookwise, very accpeptable, its performance falls short of every expectation. Good luck to anyone else out there who has read this and still decides they want one. Who knows, you could be one of the lucky ones this phone does not fall apart on. As for me, I'm hoping for a RECALL.

The l.g chocolate has been about for quite a while now but it will last you up to 1-2 years it is extremely sensative and brakes easily.
It stores quie alot and has a good look on the front covor.
I would reccomend the l.g chocolate over many phones for an xmas present

I think this phone is a very convenient phone to use. It has the best look in my opinion and it's very easy to use. All in all this phone gets a 8.5 out of 10. The 1.5 points missing are for the lack of memory for music in this phone. But if you do not mind about music then this phone is definetely very, very good. I give it a two thumbs up! Nice work LG! Keep up the good work! Very nice, stylish, convenient, and basically just a wonderful phone to be having. Thanks LG!

                  To Raed Ghraoui..

I have had my phone more than 18 months and i got to say i have never had any problem whit it. Oh, forgot to say it has freezen maybe 3 times i think, no big deal. Alot of people and even I thought in the beginning that the touchpad would broke after a while but it didnt, THE TOUCHPAD STILL WORKS PERFECT!
To the people who says this phone is difficult to handle and so on THATS BULLSHIT, if u cant handle the touchpad dont even care of buying it. This phone is easier than a nokia to handle.
I would give this phone 10/10 because ITS A PHONE and have everything i need.
By the way i have an ipod and a digital camera at home.

Now about the nokia 6300 i got to WARN u about 1 thing. THE BATTERY SUCKS!! trust me man u will need to charge it EVERY DAY.
Two of my friends got it and sold if after 3 weeks!! For me the battery is almost the most importend thing in the phone, NO BATTERY NO PHONE!!
just read the comments in the 6300 forum and u will see.

I would say go for the lg instead of the nokia or else buy something else! Good Luck

Hey I have had this phone for almost a year now, I have been told its a piece of s*#t, but I have had NO problems with it. I work in a phone shop, so I will encourage you not to buy an LG, but Nokia, Samsung and Sony are GREAT!!

Bought one of these few days ago - lovely sleek looking phone, really like it but the bluetooth does not work if you have a bluetooth system built into your car. Apparently it only works with LG bluetooth equipment. Find this amazing given cars are being sold now with bluetooth built in. Looks like I will have to go back to a Nokia as that worked no problem

Cost wise it is cheaper than any other more popular brand, very stylish, handy and has got plenty of facilities. Only thing is demonstration should be given to the customers at the time of purchasing. If company do so I am sure people like, especially girls, this mobile. But defenitly it has problems in downloading, low voice etc.,. But this is not only in this mobile in all brand also. Simply I can say It is good.
