I would like to buy LG KG800, do you recommen it or not? what are the its downsides, if any, from those who already used it? is it a good deal? Thank you in advance.

theres one simple reason to answer everyone's question of why buy this when there is samsung's d900? because d900 is ugly and kg800 isnt. simple

First of all lg is one of the best phone in the world and just to remind some of you that you have problems with keypad lights and some other things please read first manual.About keypad lights disable power saving

by far the prettiest phone ive seen. and ive seen them all.
dont care bt the 1.3MP camera, u want a good camera? buy a freakin digital camera. cameras on phones were designed to take candid pictures in the spur of the moment. not maticulously planned shots. 1.3 is enough to take candid shots. heck, VGAs are enough. you dont have enough cash to get a digital camera, then buy a crappy phone and a good cam, and stop complaining how it shld be the phone's problem to have a great cam in the first place. if it advances to be integrated with a great cam, then good. but its not a requirement.
stop complaining about the touchkeys. just proves how bulky and clumsy YOUR fingers are. works great for me. think the touchkeys are too sensitive? then get a phone that dosent have touchkeys, and stop bitching about phones that do. its your fault. not everyone has ugly fingers like yours. dont blame the phone.
and surprise, 1) the keypad lights go all the way. 2) this phone is the OBJECT of sleek design. would u wanna spoil that with loud chatterings on the train? other people listening into your loudspeaker conversations? you have the earpiece. be elegant and use that for a change. 3) im not even gonna address this one. too darn small. sliding up the phone will kill 5 million brain cells?
oh, dumbest thing i heard was tt u wld return this pretty, functional thing because it doesnt have a bank of sms tones. i mean. seriously? sms tones?
another thing... i admit the e900 is pretty. tt was one of my top choices for a phone. but then again, the only other thing good and worth mentioning about the e900 was tt it's memory was expandable. and then again, i already have a freakin ipod with huge memory. so... its not all that great.
im not taking any of your postings to offence, mind u. just heats me up when i hear nonsensically IDIOTIC things about worthy items.

I told the client to buy this unaware that it so doom 1st only the top keypads light 2nd no loudspeaker 3rd u always have to slide up when you r ans calls I would never ever advise my clients to go e4 it.

Not impressed so far with sms tones cant hear them at all and only a choice of 4 cant use ring tones or mp3 for sms alerts!!!! probably going to return to shop for nokia or samsung.

why would you buy this phone when the samsung e900 is out there first off the memory slot is not upgradable seconldy its only 1.3 mp camera and its not as nice as the samsung adn functionally samsung is alot better i bought this phone and returned it in two weeks and bought the e900 and never looked back

You can control the speed of your touch by going to Setting & Tools - 7 touch sensor level - and choose between Super, high, medium and low.
This is the bess fone I ever had.

I bought this phone in july and dont know why all are writing so many negative things about this phone...i'm totaly happy with it and havent got any problem at all!! AND BELIVE ME, I HAVENT REGRET OF BUYING IT!!!
i just dont get it when people say that the key pad is to sensitive, i meen ofcourse it should be sensitive, its touchpad for god sake. The meening of it is that you only need to touch it and not press it like a button daaaah!!!
anyway...
For u breeox i think u got some network problem or something,,and this phone HAS keypad light!!
And for the rest who says that the samsung E900 is like 10000 times better than this phone think TWICE!!!
* = True facts when i compared E900 and lg chocolate..
* The 2mpixel camera on the samsung and the 1.3 mpixel camera on lg are almost the same when u take pictures! (and just so u know that the lg has much more options on the camera)
* The lg phone is louder when playing mp3 (You can even set mp3 and vibrate as a ringtone at the same time on the lg!!)
* The lg phone is much more user friendly than the samsung. (its like a nokia)
* The lg batteri lasts longer than the samsung when listening on mp3 and so on.
* OH and listen to this: does someone know how to get the T9 permanently on,so when you create a text message you don't have to press the * button everytime you want to create a text???? Well dont ask me,,i dont have that "problem" on the lg :-)
* And here is one more thing,,be ready to get pissed off when u constantly end up cancelling a text msg because of the touch button! they are so close together!
My opinion is that the LG is much HOTTER than the samsung.
REMEMBER THAT THE LG CHOCOLATE IS ONE OF THE BEST SELLING PHONES TODAY

I bought this phone about 2 weeks ago (i go through a phone every three months or so) and i can definitely say that while it's definitely one of the coolest LOOKING phones i've had, it's also a TOTAL PIECE OF CRAP!
First off, the reception is GARBAGE! I can't get a signal when i am standing at the damn cell phone tower!?!
Secondly, i am in the USA and since this phone was made by LG Europe, LG USA won't support it so all of the questions i had about it they basically told me to kiss off - HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
As far as the features, here is a list of things that i can't stand about it:
- IT HAS NO KEYPAD LIGHT...i mean, come on - when i am texting at night i should be able to SEE what i write!?!
Actually, that's really the only feature that annoys me enough to write about...the phone IS cool, i will say, but i am a stickler for service, both reception-wise and customer-wise, and i don't get either one with this phone.
I have had 12 phones over the last 3 years and while i definitely think that this is by FAR the coolest-looking phone i've had, the funtionality just isn't enough to make me glad i bought it...it'll probably be for sale on craigslist in about 2 weeks!?!

actually i plan to buy this phone, btu after i saw all those opinion then i just hesitate whether i should buy it or not ? it's quite nice indeed .... can anyone tell me the overall opinion after using this phone....thanks

This phone may look good, and from the specs it may look as if it has enuf features, but the touch pad is hopeless. Its slow and way too sensitive, and eats the battery. It comes with two batteries for this reason. i would stand clear of this phone no matter how much u like it. its not worth the money!
