e900 guy, you forgot to say how the e900 also feels very flimsy and plastic. At least the chocolate feels sturdy and has a nice finish.

The touchpad is actually Capacitive. I'm an engineer with the company thats behind the capacitive touch sense technology. Its very similar to the technology used in the iPods and laptop touchpads. LG is now using this technology in over 20 prototype phones, and other companies have followed suit too (motorolla, nokia etc...)
I'll be happy to hear back in terms of reviews of the touchpad and could also answer any related questions.

Natasha, iainp - you need to take photos in 48x48 in size then these photos will be selectable when adding a photo to a contact.
o2girlie - everyones got their own taste. Personally i think the n80 is a brick so if you like carrying a feature rich brick with you then that's great. personally, i want a phone that looks fabulous, works brilliantly and get's the job done. thats why i got myself a chocolate.

I have this phone, i transfered to o2 to get it and i'm now sending it back, i was going to change to the Samsung E900, but by all accounts it has incurred the same problems, so shall now be getting the SE W810i. I don't know if it's a 'software' problem or what, but i receive only about a third of my calls. The caller just goes straight to my voicemail - my handbag must be lead lined! Also it's really annoying having to carry it around in it's little bag! The key pads are either too sensitive or non responsive then kick back into too sensitive and you are about million menu screens in. Also i think they brought it out in summer as i don't think you are going to be making a lot of calls in he winter with it's heat sensitive touch pad, specially with your gloves on! (Time will tell on that one) Other than that the phone does look good - very good, then you touch it and leave your mucky prints on it. A very good looking phone to go to a glitzy party with, but as an everyday phone i find it a little impractical - I like a phone that i can chuck into my handbag, without the gut renching fear that it's gonna be in bits with i pull it back out!
