Just bought one myself and i would say its worth it specs wise. everything is there... lags i so far encountered are:
1. when i multi-task: opening two apps or more or doing something else while another apps are running at the background. response time of the phone is lagging or slowing down and few occasions the phone restarted on me.
2. phone doesn't have GPS voice navigation apps support and you are limited using this feature on google maps in the box.
3. built-in widget have limited choices. no news or rss feeds if you are into this kinds of stuff.
4. since the touch screen is capacitative, only your fingers have controls and no other foreign objects will respond to it (e.g. pen, stick). this is good when the phone is in your pocket.
5. earphones included are cheap.

does it have the music finder software .i would like to know if the radio is good or if its better than samsung jet.

in my opinion,
iphone is very good for video games, 3D games, internet, maybe chatting also, and very easy to use. However, It has no style at all. Lg km900 is a style phone. it is a perfect size for everyone, and so options to play with. and the graphic is beautiful because it has high depth resolution 800x400. If you play with camera, you will love it. remember the phone has two camera. The touch screen is very sensitive but if you have big fingers, dont buy this phone...

I had P1i for two years then it was time to get a new phone. I was thinking of switching to AT&T from T-mobile just to have the new iPhone 3GS. I was also focused on buying the Xperia X1 since I like sony ericsson and the first time I tried the Xperia at the store, the feel was good. Although, it was a bit hard to use. The only plus was the form factor and the keyboard. X1 is relatively old phone since they came out with X2 already.
Store owner asked me to try the LG Arena because it is easy to use and after toying around with it for a few minutes, they are right about its ease of use. Display is also good. I bought it right away. At home, my 8-year old daughter loves it too and it is a fun phone to use for everybody. The size is just perfect - not too small and not too big.
I am going back to the store to get my wife a new LG Arena today.

but my Arena has handwriting recognition! and i assure you, it's not fake. It's the real deal, from a Fortress store in Hong Kong.
when i write a new message, there's an arrow on top of my alphanumeric keypad. when i click it, options open on editing the T9 dictionary, Handwriting Recognition, Block Cursor and Paste. if you don't believe me, go to mylgarena.com and look for a thread that has tips on handwriting recognition. :)

Im so excited. Im gettin the Arena on wed (but wil b buyin it on monday :() ive never had an lg or a touchscreen phone, so i think this wil b a good phone to start with. Does any1 know whether this phone can support operamini 4.2? Plz write back asap. Cheers x

Sorry, forgot 2 add, was talkin abt d Capactive screen first..
BTW, Samsung claims that their R-resistive technology combines d best of both worlds, so u can use a stylus and expect brilliant response 2 finger touch..

As for Resistive v/s Capacitive-this is d deal.
You absolutely CANNOT use a stylus or any other thing to operate the screen other than ur finger...not even gloved hands. The screen is optimized for finger touch and thats why they respond brilliantly. Hence NO handwriting recognition yada yada...
Resisitve screens respond to stylus, ball pen tips and anything else u can lay ur hands on. They are not optimized for only finger tips.Ergo, they respond slower.
