I have this phone and LG needs to add a calibration utility. I have found that my finger presses register a little to the left

i think what makes 5800's resistive screen becomes easily touchable is it's large font.

in my opinion, i think capacitive screens are better than resistive. i dislike having to apply pressure when i touch the screen. although in fairness, if the Samsung Jet really does have that r-resistive screen (said to be much more sensitive than the regular resistive screen), then i'd be very impressed.
i'm currently happy with my Arena, but i really like the Jet too. :)
for those confused as to get the Samsung Jet, Samsung Omnia II, Samsung Omnia HD or the LG Arena, think about this. All the Samsung phones mentioned have bigger screens than the Arena, but the Omnia HD falls behind in pixel resolution. the Arena has its compact size, while the Omnia HD and the Omnia II are almost too dfficult to use single-handedly. the Arena has the S-class UI while the Samsung phones have touchwiz, with motion gate or whatever they call that :)

          @ DoubleR

As a matter of fact i have used a resistive touch screen phone, pixon 8MP.. and i did observe that the pressure required to register a touch is a little more as compared to an i-phone.. so when i'm typin msges, and if i use my fibger, i end up pressing one more buttons, no too many times though, but i do.. which is not in the case of an iphone or for that matter any capacitive touch screen phone... ergonomiaclly speakin, resistive phones are designed to be effectively used with the help of a stylus... but in any case, wat i really mean to say is that capacitive touch screen phones are way more sensitive than resistives..

T-Man, 23 Jun 2009for all the ppl who are confused between Nokia 5800 XM, Sam... more"mostly use a stylus for resistive screens"

what??? have you ever actually used a phone with resistive screen? you do NOT have to use the stylus with the new resistive screens, that's been over for a long time... I have the Omnia i900 and the Nokia 5800, both of them have resistive screens, and I never had to use the stylus... there is one one the Nokia, just in case you encounter a tiny button anywhere on the internet which could be too small to press with your finger... the Omnia i900 doesn't even have one attached to it - as you dont need it...

other than in highly rare cases you will never have to use the stylus... you may want to use the stylus if yuo don't want any fingerprints on your screen :-)

lianne, 24 Jun 2009can someone out there please explain to me how you can make... morefor Wifi, you can turn it on manually by touch the Wifi icon or when open any application which is required to cennect to the internet, the wifi will automatically turn on and searching for available networks. when the phone found the available networks, you just touch the "connect" button. That is it. if your fingers to big and qwery keboards are too small, i suggest that you should sell this phone and buy the new iphone.
