hands-on experience with this unit:
>pros:
-excellent music player, audio output on dolby surround easily tops the iphone experience, given you're using a quality headset,im using one with a 40mm driver
-UI rivals the iphone,same capacitive screen...iphone is the most fluid,nonetheless
-very easy access on all application and useful phone contents
-camera flash, though non-xenon and non-dual, is good enough to not produce artificial enviro-lighting...
-has expansion slot for a micro SD,8gb of flash mem is good enough for standard users,those on the music and video side will find it useful in upgrading to 32gb more
-pocket friendly
-front camera even takes quality photo and video
-3.5mm standard audio/video port
-classy and sleek body design
-good battery life...will need to recharge though at the end of the day...
-alpha numeric kb is spacious enough even for a big guy like me
-easily plays most mpeg4 videos
-full icon menu access
-security can be enabled for most applications
>cons
-qwerty pad is kinda difficult for thumb typing
-using the web browser proves difficult due to the limited screen size,iphone still rocks..big time...
-sim card slot lies underneath the battery and is not hot-swappable,compared to iphone...
-memory card is hot swappable but still needs to take out the backplate to do so...
these are first hand experience...
over-all,i'd rate the arena with an 8.5 user-friendliness is a big boost,iphone on the other hand rates at 6,big time useless without an itune installed on you

Hi all!
How does affect the touching capabilities of the Arena if you use a screen protector foil?
Would be actually a necessary step?
Do i need to get a stylus afterward?

Dr. Sherif, 07 Feb 2010Many thanks Beh, thanks for your help. Can you plz tell me ... moreAlways use "Mass storage" USB Connection Mode to transfer your multimedia files (i.e. video, photo & etc) from your PC to Arena. You will benefit for the below mentioned:
1. EXPEDITE your file transfer processing time by 2 to 3X faster if compared to LG PC Suite. How it works?
ANSWER: Open the multimedia files in your PC > select & mark all the files you wish to transfer > once done, point your mouse's cursor to your selected files and right click the mouse, use "Copy" & "Paste" function from the shortcut menu to transfer your files from your PC to Arena.
Note: Typically, G drive is for handset memory, while F drive is for External memory, which show in your PC "My Computer".
2. Transfer VIRUS FREE multimedia files from your PC to your Arena. How it works?
ANSWER: Open & mark your multimedia files in your PC prior to transfer the files to your Arena > right click the mouse & click on "Scan with XXXX" (e.g. scan with AVG Free") > Now, your PC will start to scan your multimedia file you selected and once completed it will show you scan results. If the scan results show no infection, then you are save to transfer your multimedia files from your PC to Arena.

I get the text ... moreits because its not set-up right.you need to call your provider (vodafone,orange or who-ever)so they can send you a txt with the mms configuration.if yourve already done that then you need to go into mms settings and change the settings manually.better that they help you themselves cos i dont want to tell you how to do it and screw-up your phone.anyway i had to go into main menu-message-settings-mms-mms profile-and then choose orangeMMS even after they sent me the config..its happened to me with my last 2 previous phones too.hope it helps but call them first cos i dont wanna bum-up your fone but try it if you like.hope it helps

hey does this phone now supports flash for internet browsing? the review here in GSMarena said that it doesnt, but an article about the phone in wikipedia said it does. im considering getting this or the samsung marvel mainy because i wanted a portable internet browser. a little help pls?

Go to "My Stuff" > "My Images" > tap the option button at top left corner > tap "New folder", for example name it as "Family" or any others name as you like for easier differentiate > Now, go to "My Stuff" and open "My images" folder > tap the option button at top left corner > tap "Move" > marked or select the photos you want to move to your designated folder you create before (i.e Family) > tap "Move files" at the middle of the top screen > tap the phone icon at top screen for handset memory > tap "Select" for "Family" folder and this will complete the photos moving procedure from "My images" folder to your designated folder (i.e "Family").
Btw, you can PRIVACY your multimedia files such as videos, pictures, sound and others application as well, which saved in "Handset memory" by turning "On" the "Application lock" in "Phone settings" menu.

I'm having trouble with the MMS retrieving. I get the text but it never gets to open, and it says "retrieving" for hours..Could anybody help me out with this issue?
THe firmware is v10D and the phone is unlocked..what should i do!

the unsigned vrsion seems cant use gps receiver, it shows map only. But now I still check it out,,,

For free GPS map, use Mobile GMaps ver 142.
Use Mapcacher to download map.
Google it, and read from lgarena forum how to set up.
PS: when using " 1809#*900# " to access the GPS settings, DO NOT PRESS " Factory Reset", it WILL NOT confirm a second time, and you will lose all data you copied or installed in your KM900.
My Piesel Viewer won't function again, i can't read pdf files, after i accidentally press the factory reset but otherwise the phone is normal.
The GPS function in Arena is accurate and fast.

woody, 04 Feb 2010I've check the gps setting in the secret menu as you mentio... moreGoogle maps is a crappy navigation software for mobile phone, it still beta version and not every region is supported yet. You may try to change to another navigation software as link stated below:

My navigation software (*maps) worked very well with the settings I posted here before. It can track and shows very accurate position even I'm located at underground station.

Jackson, 03 Feb 2010Guys...i reli need some help here...my phone hang/stucked w... morein my experience, do 3X factory reset by typing 1809#*900# (without sim & memory card inserted) from dialpad may fix that issue. But it will wipe your phone memory data off. No more blank screen on my phone when receive a call. (I like to use speaker phone mode) but if the issue still persist, try to redownload again, either visit LG customer support to refill your firmware although with previous vrsion.
