Anonymous, 25 Oct 2009what is flashing a firmware? sorry im noobFirmware is a combination of software and hardware. Computer chips that have data or programs recorded on them are firmware. These chips commonly include the following:
� ROMs (read-only memory)
� PROMs (programmable read-only memory)
� EPROMs (erasable programmable read-only memory)
Firmware in PROM or EPROM is designed to be updated if necessary through a software update
flashing a firmware or newest firmware to your phone give you list of bug's and fix some from of the phone.. add new feature, also remove useless feature.. And also its upgrade your phone to make it faster and smooth interface, give more sensitivity on the touch, and etc..

also if you wanna find a good firmware that less bug's.. first is you must search that firmware and read the comment to other poeple who use the firmware.. so that you will know the problem before you flash..

i had these mobile,it is really GREAT i love it soooo much.
but could any one tell me how could i have trusted programs for mine?and how could i use the voice memo?

see first of all,u r choosing in between ss star 3g and lg arena, but in my opinion theses two phones are of different categories.u can compare ss star 3g with lg cookie and lg arena with samsung jet.
as over here we r more concerned abt lg arena....so for competing with with phone u can have a choice of samsung jet...
bt i personally feel that according to the looks arena outperforms jet by a great margin..and even lg is more concerned abt its handset arena as it is continously bringing new firmares in the market bt samsung has hardly brought any update after launching jet...so jet is still struggling with many firmware isseus ...but now i can say with the latest firmware..arena has become very stable as compared to jet...as per specifications, both the phones have almost same specification...even the capacitive touch screen of arena is more sensitive than the jet's resistive one..so now its personally ur decision to choose..hope this will help u...

hi i wanna buy a new phone.. n me confused b/w lg arena and samsung star 3g.. there is a big price difference of abt 9000 INR so wat do u ppl suggest which mobile is worth it..? i need touchscreen n a gud cam n music quality n watever extra features r there r just bonus fr me!

I seriously love this phone, it totally blew me away when I was using it! The camera and audio quality are simply one of the best and the latter is definitely better than a Walkman phone from my experience. The UI is really as fluid as the iPhone's and the headphones may look tacky, but they are actually of high quality in my opinion. Hey, I'm not being LG's pet here, but till yesterday, I was an SE user for 5 YEARS.

can anyone please tell me if the camera of arena is good during night time even when using a flash. Coz in my experience with the other LG handsets the cam are not good even with flash but i like the features of this fone and am planning to buy 2mrow. please give any comments...
