I believed all the Arena user here ever racking their brains to find out a way how to turn off the irritating shutter sound of camera when taking a picture, am i right?
We all known that the shutter sound is not possible to turn it off even though the phone is in silent mode.
Nevertheless, do you know that we can lower down or reduce the irritating shutter sound by approximate 60% and even more by simply plug in the "HEADSET" to your phone's stereo earphone connector? Yes, it is true and very amazing as you will feel there is a big difference in your camera shutter sound when you captured a picture with your headset plug in to the earphone connector.

shak, 15 Sep 2009ofcourse......Arena is better than renoir.please tell me whats better in arena as In the specifications of both it seems that renoir has more advantages like better divx player 8 meg camera ,avi recording and somewhat cheaper price tag.

!{-JASMINE-}!, 14 Sep 2009Are you sure you got a first hand phone? when i got mine it... moreyes it's totally brand new as a matter of fact i went back today to LG store to give it back but instead they change it with another new unit which i am practicing now and now when i tried to download songs again and play it's working fine until i saved 6 songs and now it's freezing again.
It's really frustrating.

Here another tips to share with you, which not stated in the user manual. And I believed it might be useful also for the new user of this phone.
1) Customizing the "Shortcut homesceen":
Do you know that you can customizing your "Shortcut homesceen" in cube menu? It means that you can add UP TO 9 FAVORITE ICONS in your shortcut homescreen. To customize, the procedures are as follows:-
Touch and hold the GAP between the icons in your "Shortcut homescreen" for 2 seconds, then you will see the "Edit favorite" option appeared in the middle of your bottom screen. Tap the "Edit Favorite" option and you will see all the applications were listed there. Tick the box to select your favorite applications to be added in your "Shortcut homescreen" for quick access. Upon completion, tap the back arrow button to exit.
2)Customizing the "Widget homescreen":
To customize the widget homescreen, the procedures are quite similar with the above mentioned. Touch and hold the space between the icons for 2 seconds and you will see the "X" mark appeared on the top corner of each icon in your widget homescreen. You can delete them by tap the "X" mark or add the new one by simply tap the the icons which all are listed in the bottom screen.
Note: Touch and hold the new added icon, so that you can drag it to any position you want in your widget homescreen.
3) Re-locate the "Main Menu" icons:
You can relocate your frequent used icons to the front four icons of each sub-menu, instead of every time need to scroll sideway when want to access it.
To re-locate the icons in main menu, touch and hold the icon for 2 seconds (don't release your finger), you will see the small left & right arrow appeared on the top corner of the icon. And now you can drag forward the icon SLOWLY to the front of each sub-menu, release you finger when you see the line appeared in between the icons, and now the icons is relocated to a new position.

i e mail the lg company whether there is a firmware update available for the version 10b and i got a reply that there is a version 10c available and we can get it from our nearest lg centre... i am yet to get mine updated...plz share what changes does the new firmware have on phone,thanks.
