i am having a cookie for more than 5 months and i had no problem regarding the functional difficulties..the features in this phone is worth for the rate of 10,000. this phone is for people who can have rash use with it,
its really a good phone, easily handy and usage

hi i have bought a cokkie it has good looks but many operating problems, it wont read all format like other phones. having 2gb card it hangs when openinng photo very bad battery so pls dont relese these type of phones

The phone equaliser has problem.
set the equaliser in the player and start playing a song,then change the volume,the equaliser setting is gone..
such a poor testing by LG..

Search for mylgcookie in Google and go to the url. For all the info you ever need to buy the cookie. It is a feature phone and not a smartphone, it does not have an OS. It cannot run native applications. only third party apps you will ever get on this phone are java apps. Like opera mini and ebuddy. Had this phone for over 4months and after two firmware updates, the latest v10y, the phone is awesome. Don't think much of the motion sensor Game which hogs the battery cuz you can't turn off the vibrator while playing the game. The novelty wears off after a day. Battery lasts one day or less. While running java apps the backlight will not turn off even if you don't touch the screen for hours. Two standby screens and an alignment sensor for photos and videos is the best part.

But wats the use of such a great phone if it doesnt even have a bluetooth support?? it supports only stereo headsets, and u cant use it to transfer files between two phones..dats a great drawback.. and besides haha...lol...it has just a 2 MP camera...so cheap!!! just 2 MP camera for such huge money you pay!! gr8 huh?? and as far as i know, u cant run any 3rd party apps without jailbreaking it!! and if u jailbrreak it, u void the warranty...and hey! where the hell is sms forwarding?? and no video recording...no camera zooming...and u cant even remove the battery....now u ppl understand?? iPhone is actually useless....its got the best touch responce ever...and dats it...it lacks the most common and basic requirements!!!! such a cheap phone for such a huge price!!! i would rather prefer cookie than iPhone!!!

you can put more widgets!
3 screens compared to cookie that has 2!
Much mcuh greater battery back up! unlike cookie! yeah!
Sleek design, unlike cookie, looks like a toy!
the screen is not that sensitive! unlike star!
user interface of the cookie sucks! i mean really..

The iphone is released much earlier than the cookie. Year 2007, and cookie is released 2008. But still even if iphone is released much earlier it is far more greater than the cookie.. just look at the specs!~
And even the iphone with 3g which is released at the same year as the cookie, theres no comparison.

Cookie is for people who don't have money.
While iphone are for those that have cash.
~So yeah, even i myself would choose iphone over cookie. And if someone offer me to trade their iphone to my cookie (as if theres someone, haha!) i would definitely trade my cookie.. its a no brainer, you know!

I've read Sir Inglisero's comment about the 8 MP camera thingy. And upon reading...he is not saying it has a 8MP camera but sez it "luks like" it was taken with the same quality.
I can totally agree about the user's here considering that my sis owns a cookie and I own a Nokia n97 for a change....i love my N97 but if I owned a Cookie and an Iphone...I will go for the Cookie. The Iphone is not really a good phone...its just plain advertising strategy to market it...nyahahaha!

I have been using my Cookie for a couple of months or so. There are things that I like and particularly not fond of. But as a whole the mobile is good for doctors on the go like me. My colleague who ownd IPhone is in full remorse knowing that theycould have saved more by having a cookie instead in replacemnet to an IPhone.
I personally do not own an Apple Phone, but I was able to test it for a week before its initial launching because my fiance' works for Apple. lol
I dont like the idea of the Iphone really. It might looks expemsive and all that stuff fancy. Im not impressed.
I would rather get a Cookie. I can afford to buy an Iphone but its my choice not to.

In response to the mate's reply to Inglisero. I have used the Cookie for almost 9 months without any problems except for minor glitch on the system that is a rarity.
The LG Cookie Camera is far better than IPhone to put that debate closed once and for all. The bloody phon's camera is rubbish in comparison to Cookie. Inglisero is also correct and I can affirm that the camera quality "looks like taken from an 8 MP" but we do not claim it is an 8 MP quality.
The Iphone has extra feature that Cookie doesn't have but the Cookie was able to simply compensate fait enough.
I will not trade my Cookie for an IPhone as well. I own a bloody Iphone for Orange under Contact! It sucks!

what???, 25 Sep 2009your lg took pictures like it was taken on a 8 megapixel ca... moreyeah right @ what?....i own an Iphone 3gs and I am not impressed with it. Considering that I owned one in comparison to the Lg cookie. I dont like it. Period!

v, 25 Sep 2009i have questions: how is the quality of the speaker,earphon... moreuse the free screen protectors to avoid scratches from pen/stylus or finger nails. speakers are loud and clear but the coookie doesn't have wifi. you might want the new express music phones instead. both 5530 and 5800 have wifi but cost $100 more.

Ganesh, 25 Sep 2009thankx again kokey. but how do i check the version before b... morethe firmware version isn't stated on the box. the phone has to be turned on and go to >top menu>settings>phone settings>handset info. or just dial 1809#*500# and click version. though i suggest using the first method as the 2nd one is the phone's test mode. you might make the phone crash.
anyway if you can't open the box you might want to go to the nearest LG center first and ask if they can update to the newest firmware. they'll do it for free for phones with warranty.
