i have questions: how is the quality of the speaker,earphone? this is wifi ready right? if you enter a wifi ready restaurant/food chain, will the wifi be automatically be activated? sorry, i'm not much familiar with wifi zones. will the pen/stick scratch the monitor of the casing? i am planning to buy this unit by december or january maybe? if i ever have money by that time? please help me? this is my possible replacement for my nokia 5130 unit. thanks for the reply

kokey, 25 Sep 2009hi ganesh yes you can update your firmware. all the major ... morethankx again kokey. but how do i check the version before buying? the seller wont open the box before buying. what shud i do? will the version be written on the box of the phone?

what i hate about cookie is when you are replying to somebodys message then when another message came it pop out instantly and chances are the message you are typing will be lost if you press wrong button and you have to type again.., i really hate texting using LG COKIE.. the feauture is good, all about the camera is good especially the video but the i will rate it as ZERO in userfriendliness...., i really hate it,,..

anyone tried this?
i transferred some pictures taken from my old phones to my cookie and to my surprize, pictures from my old nokia 3650 and motorola v360 looked amazing. both these phones have VGA cameras yet the pictures look the same as the ones from my 2megapix nokia n70.
hmm i wonder if the cookie somehow enhances these pictures. because when i view the pictures, they start up really blurry then clears up to reveal really good quality pictures..wierd

what???, 25 Sep 2009your lg took pictures like it was taken on a 8 megapixel ca... morewell i too wouldnt trade my cookie for an iphone. the most important thing for me in a phone is sharing. sharing pictures, videos, music, games, etc. the iphone just doesnt allow that, unless you jailbreak it, which also voids your warranty.
and it's true that cookie's pictures are way better than iphone. indoors or outdoors.
i might trade my cookie for 5530 but not iphone..
or maybe i will trade my cookie for an iphone, and sell it. i'd have enough money to buy a new cookie, 5530, and 5800. hehe

yes you can update your firmware. all the major bugs have been fixed by the new software v10d or higher. but its more convenient to buy a phone with new software already installed bacause you might void the warranty if you update it yourself..

I totally agree about what Kokey is saying about you checking the software version before you buy. That simple. So quit whinning around and do your research first.
Haiz it obviously pathetic. Even IPhone has its own problems you know. No technological device is perfect!

freezing, turning itself off, restarting, crashing, and other bugs are all caused by early software versions. as i've said before, check the software version before buying..

lg cookie rocks.... a good phone with good feature... iam using it frm last 4 months.... good phone man.... but some draw bak is there... every phone has ......... good quality in video and camera... gr8 sound clarity... sexy style..... over all a good phone

this phone is worse i ve ever used it is extremely slow it takes almost 1 to 2 min. to open an application. you can only store 500 msg (including outbox and inbox). i wud nvr buy lg phone in future

I hate my Kp500, do not touch with a barge pole. texting is awful and phone is generally buggy as hell. Will turn off and reboot itself randomly and when it does, all new words the user has stored in the predictive text dictionary will be lost. seriously fellas, a phone that can't retain all the data during a power down is total tat. I have had 2 LG phones now, i will never own a third. This has put me off all LG products.

How is the quality of the video playback?? is it gud?? plz reply soon...and how is the quality of the recorded video?? wat are the problems in the lg cookie?? ive heard it switches off by itself n doesnt turn on again...n soo many other poroblems...im buyin it this sunday...so plz reply soon....shall i buy this phone or not???

its camera is very bad, sony ericssion 1.3 megapixel is far better then this phone, quite slow.
look is good, music quality is gr8
