I'll leave the WiFi web browsing to my MacBook Pro... :)

I am counting today from the day I purchased my LG Cookie (which also happens to be my secondary phone aside from my E51)...4 days prior to me getting this marvelous piece of invention!
I will share to you what I've experienced with my new LG Cookie through different categories.
Messaging:
So far so good! I am enjoying the feel of it, texting is a thing I am getting used to but with no difficulties. I tried using the QWERTY and its is just right but I am just used to the idea of using the qwerty function. The hand recognition is awesome! I've used it once in awhile and I am impressed with how it works. And scanning messages is so cool by flickering it is great!
Call:
The voice reception is brillant! Shifting from handset to Speaker mode does not change the quality of reception unlike other phones.Speed Dial function has a very superb option.
Multimedia:
Camera is average and decent. Do not expect to produce a good photo indoors. The Music Player is great and the sound is perfect even you are using the standard headset. There are lots of other full-multimedia features that are included which you need to discover yourself. In total, the multimedia is above average for me except for the camera which is plainly okay.
Utilities:
I am very impressed with all the tools added to this very cute phone. It is reliable and functional..the World Time is so cool that the Globe rotates when locating a City...Awesome! The phones has ATMP (Anti-theft Mobile Programming) which is also standard to most phone nowadays.
Internet/GPRS
Well it is not what I expected..connection is very slow knowing that my previous handset with the same network has a very fast connection. But its okay I have Wi-Fi using my E51. Overall, not recommended for internet browsing.
In conclusion, I can say its a good buy considering the rich feature you can obtain from a very economically-priced handset in the market today. You have the luxury of a touchscreen-ala-Iphone and has the look of a CEO's phone...Lag issue is a rarity. The battery strenght is not all impressive but can be acceptable to some. Recharging takes 2-3 hours of the time daily. So, keep your travel charger handy at all times.

Inglisero, 25 Aug 2009Hi jagat101! Well, I have the black one with grey accent at... moreInglisero, I finally gave in yesterday and ordered via Amazon. I got a pretty good deal, converted in Peso it's around PHP7,341 shipped. I got the Vandyke Brown with the red accent..was thinking of getting the Black one but I find it too plain jane, too common for my taste..to each his own I guess). Plus I ordered a black rubberized hard case (so in effect, it will be "black")..to avoid breaking the thin digitizer lens (based form other owners complaints).
I assume that the oem KP500 body somehow flexes/bends a bit when worn in pant pockets (though I have no real plans on doing that..from experience, it's very uncomfortable to pocket a pda style phone, though I plan to use it in shirt pockets).
The way I see it, when the phone is pocketed the hard case will absorb the flexing first (imagine an "egg shell") leaving the main Cookie body intact/firm thus avoiding flexing and breaking the digitizer lens...

I was able to see a silver one ( I was eyeing for it initially ) but upon seeing it and checking it up close and personal...it looks cheap... So black is much elegantly looking....actually looks like IPhone in a way ( my lil bro has a 3gs IPhone and I dont fancy it really )
There is also a black with red accent which also not so good to look at. lol
I so love my baby cookie!

Btw, I'm at a bind if I would get the Samsung S5230/Tocco Lite or the KP500/LG Cookie..but it seems that the Sammy is no less reliable than the Cookie.
With that said, the LG seems to be cheaper now, has more user support/forum help, parts replacement availability (such as Ebay) and available firmware updates in the interwebs for the KP500...looks like I'll be jumping for the Cookie soon.

Finally I have the chance to buy and get this phone today. I was originally planning to get this directly from the LG Shop which was recently opened last July @ Robinsons Galleria to be certain that I have decent, reliable, and original LG Cookie.
Alas! I went there and it actually cost more than I expected without a memory card, without an extra screen protector, and without any extra freebies ( which I thought I will be given something for buying directly form their shop lol ) But luckily enough, I was able to discover this teenie little mobile shop which seems and look like legitimate to me...I was offered Php9,400 +1 year warranty with NTC Certified registration,a 2GB external memory, and also a sleek leather case which has an interior silicone covering!
And the version is v10d...and I so loooooving it!
